Functionality

The cablecheck unit is designed for

inspection of high voltage cables to

find possible contaminations or

protrusions.

The function of the cablecheck unit is

based on the fact that when cable

insulation of crosslinked polyethylene

(XLPE) is heated to about 130°C, the

insulation becomes transparent.

In this way it is possible to find if any

contamination or protrusion exists,

which then can be examinated with

microscope.
