The world was dark, and it was empty!

Close your eyes!

Then God made the light.

Now open your eyes to see the light!

God also made the plants and the animals.

Then He created Adam and Eve

to live in the Garden of Eden.

Thank you, God, for creating

a world so beautiful!

THE PATH IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA

The people of Israel were in front of the sea

and they could not go on their way. Then God sent a

very strong wind and pushed the waters to the sides.

Let us blow and try to be like a very strong wind!

The Israelites walked in the middle of the sea.

Nobody was hurt.

Dear God, thank you for being so big and strong!

THE FALL OF THE GREAT WALLS OF JERICHOFor six days, the priests walked aroundJericho playing their trumpets.Let us listen to the sound of the trumpets! Ta-ta-ta-ra-ra-ta-ta.On the seventh day they walked around the city seven times, and then the peopleof Israel shouted loudly. Then God made those big walls fall down.Dear God, thank you for being strongerthan all the walls. Amen.

WITH A GIANT

The giant Goliath was making fun of the soldiers of Israel.

They were very afraid. David put a small stone in his sling.

He turned, turned and threw it to Goliath’s head,

who fell on the ground with a loud noise.

God blessed David and he became the king of Israel.

Dear God, help me to be brave like David.

DANIEL IN THE LIONS’ DENThere were some unkind men who did not likeDaniel and they tricked the king to send himinto the lions’ den.How do lions roar? Are you afraid of them?God sent His angels to take care of Daniel, and the lions did not hurt him.Dear God, help me to not be afraid because the angels take care of me”.

JESUS’ BIRTH

Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem

and slept in a stable.

In the middle of the night, baby Jesus was born!

The angels sang!

Let us sing to Jesus!

Some wise men brought gifts to the baby.

Thank you, Jesus, for being my Savior.

JESUS CALMS THE STORMThe wind began to blow hard and the wavesshook the boat where Jesus was. Let us shake the boat!The disciples were very scared and askedJesus for help. He was not afraid.Jesus said: “Wind! Waves! Calm down!”The wind and the waves obeyed Jesus and everything was calm.Dear Jesus, thank you for taking care of me when I am asleep.

JESUS FEEDS MANY PEOPLE

A boy went to hear Jesus speak

and took with him five breads and two fishes.

Let us count? One, two, three, four, five breads!

One, two fishes!

The boy gave his food to Jesus. The Lord prayed

and began to share the food in baskets.

Everyone ate and there were twelve baskets left.

Dear God, thank you because I am never

without good food.

THE GOOD SAMARITANSome thieves robbed a traveler and left him very hurt.Can you hear the hurt man? What does he say?Two men who were not very kind passed by but didnot help the traveler.Then a good man passed and stopped, he took care ofhis wounds, and then took him to a doctor and leftsome money to pay for the bill.Dear God, help me treat other people with love.

THE LOST LITTLE LAMB

One time, Jesus told a story about a little

lamb that was lost.

Poor little lamb! Where do you think she is?

Then the pastor found his little lamb.

He carried her on his shoulders and took her back home.

Jesus is our pastor and we are His little lambs.

Thank you, dear Jesus, because I am Your little lamb.

JESUS LOVES THE CHILDRENOne day, some mommies took their children to seeJesus. His disciples told them that they werebothering Him.How did the children feel? Very sad!But Jesus hugged them and told the disciples: “Do not forbid the children from coming to me,because the kingdom of heaven is theirs”.Thank you, Jesus, for loving the little children so much!
