All Southwest Seniors are invited to attend “The Andy Griffith Show Live” at the Imperial Dinner Theater in Pocahontas on Saturday, July 26th. The bus will leave Southwest at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by the show at 7:30 p.m. The cost per person is $30.00

We are body and spirit. We experience the limitations of dust and the glorious potential of God’s divine image. We are drawn to God’s lofty intentions and yet wrestle with our common brokenness. What does God say about our bodies and how we relate to each other and to God? In this series we will explore God’s desire for the body, gender, marriage, divorce, opposite sex attraction, same sex attraction, and singleness. We will try to navigate difficult cultural issues in helpful and hopeful ways.

PANAMA 2014 The Southwest Church of Christ 2014 Panama Mission Team will be traveling to Panama to work with our missionary, Chris Taylor, from July 19th – 27th. Our team members will serve on two medical mission teams and one building team. Members raise their own funds to pay for the majority of the cost for the trip, and give of their time to serve in Panama for the week. During the week, our team will work in Santiago, Panama and the surrounding communities to help open doors to plant churches in that area. Please pray for Chris Taylor and his family, our mission team, those that we will serve in Santiago and the church in Santiago. Pray that hearts will be opened and God’s love will be shared with all those that we meet in Panama. God Bless!

HUGGING PARTY The Lee family (Dean, Reba, Diamond and Anna Pearl) is moving to Hot Springs on August 1st. Many of our lives have been touched in both large and small ways by this faithful family. They will be greatly missed by our Southwest family. The “Friendship Class” is having an informal “hugging party” immediately after the second service on Sunday morning, July 27th in the class room next to the kitchen near the gym to give all an opportunity to wish the Lee’s well.

LADIES—THE JUVENILE GIRL’S JAIL MINISTRY NEEDS A COUPLE MORE PEOPLE TO HELPIt would require about one hour, one Wednesday evening a month. We meet either at 5:00 or 5:30 p.m., depending on the week, so you can still make it to Wednesday night services. Please meet in the James Street foyer after first and second services to sign up or for more information.
