EASY DOCUMENT CAPTURE &INSTANT OUTPUT IN COLOUR

bEST Personal Copy connects multifunctional devices (MFPs) and printers that share the same network. Based on bEST OpenAPI, bEST Personal Copy integrates completely into the host device’s user panel. The application lets users create colour copies, by combining a b/w MFP with colour scanning capability and a colour printer.

Users will appreciate the possibility to easily capture hard originals with bEST Personal Copy: originals are scanned at one MFP and sent to a printer with colour printing capa-bility. The selection of the preferred Konica Minolta output device is fast and easy; and print settings can be chosen

directly on the panel of the input MFP. Output settings can include the number of copies, paper tray selection, simplex/duplex printing, stapling and/or punching, provided these features are available on the output device, as well as secure printing.

bEST Personal Copy’s efficient scanning and document capture capabilities facilitate document processing right across all available output devices in an enterprise. Compa-nies without access to colour MFPs can still leverage their existing MFP infrastructure of mostly b/w MFPs to make colour copies.

– Convenient colour copying: Colour originals can be

scanned on a monochrome MFP with colour scanning capability and printed on a colour printer in a single step. The preferred Konica Minolta output device can be se-lected quickly and easily as well as print settings entered directly on the panel of the scanning MFP.

– Instant colour printing: Documents scanned on a b/w MFP can conveniently be printed on a colour printer of the user’s choice. Manual operation steps become obsolete. In environments with mostly b/w bizhub MFPs, the combination of colour scanning on monochrome MFPs with the colour printing functionality of even a single colour printer ensures optimised output.

Document processing – Scan & print options: The administrator can centrally

define the scan and print settings and can limit the range of settings that should be available to end users. Output settings can include number of copies, paper tray selec-tion, simplex/duplex printing, stapling/punching

(if available on the output device).

RECOMMENDED SPECIFICATIONS

Print devices with bEST Personal Copy need to be capable of direct printing TIFF or PDF documents. Note that some print devices may require optional components to be installed for direct printing support. For such processes to work, please note:

– bizhub C35P requires HD-P03 or MK-725 with a CF card with a capacity of 1 GB or higher

– bizhub C353P requires HD-509 – Third-party devices may have other requirements

The support and availability of the listed specifications and functionalities varies depending on operating systems, applications and network protocols as well as network and system configurations.
