However, when starting to edit as a beginner, personally, I think you should start using iMovie because it is simple and easy to use. Also the software is very straightforward to use. Although, Final Cut Pro is basically the same software as iMovie but formatted differently. This is because

different people are use to different softwares and if they were to change softwares, then they would have some time trying to figure out how to use the software as the two softwares are formatted differently but consists of the same effects and more. Furthermore, having used these editing softwares, it makes the film production more realistic. Also, big Hollywood production companies use these softwares as well.
