BDH Prolabo - into the future, informed by the pastIn 2008 the BDH and Prolabo brands were combined by VWR to give the best of both ranges. The values developed over 100 years have continued to underpin the brand and services we offer now. labelling and specificationsMulti-lingual BDH Prolabo labels are designed to help you find the information you need easily and quickly. They always include an expiry date for unopened and correctly stored product and space for you to enter the date of receipt and/or when the bottle was first opened. The labels comply with current European legislation. The guaranteed specification of the product appears on the label. The specifications quote maximum permitted levels of impurities, not typical analyses. Certificates of analysis are readily available on the new VWR website. Below is an example of the new label design required to support the GHS chemical safety legislation for pure substances.

VWr continues to invest in its chemical production sites in Briare, france and Haasrode, BelgiumBoth VWR production sites have been expanded recently. New automated and semi-automated filling lines have been installed to enhance their capability and flexibility and improve service levels. The sites have ISO 9001 accreditation and are regularly audited by our customers with very successful results. The Briare site also meets the environmental impact standard ISO 14001. VWR use cleanrooms working to ISO standard 7 for the filling of all pharmacopoeia quality products.
VWR’s analytical services are being continually upgraded and are capable of performing all the latest analytical testing techniques.
