Getting IT Done - Representative EngagementsFrom enterprise transformation to focused technology initiatives, we have been successful at PMO setup and management as well as project management for IT initiatives. Clients hire us for strong leadership necessary to drive complex and high-visibility IT initiatives; ability to influence and persuade across the enterprise; and need for independent third-party to balance out vendor power.

Program Management Managed an enterprise-wise initiative to migrate the company’s database layer from specialized servers to a Linux-based commodity hardware model. Oversaw infrastructure build out, including high-availability, and drove migration of over 200 corporate databases in partnership fashion with IT leadership across all the company’s business units.

PMO Setup Established a Program Management Office (PMO) that oversaw a $30M strategic IT initiative. Implemented foundational PMO services such as schedule, budget and scope management as well as change, risk, and issue management. Developed and implemented a rolling elaboration planning capability that became an integrative force. Efforts significantly increased controls and accountability without extensive bureaucracy.

Project Turn Around Advised senior management on process to convert an internally developed business intelligence capability into a commercial offering. Strategic initiative experienced chronic timeline slippages and intense politics. Performed a performance assessment, and based upon findings issued actionable recommendations and then assisted with their implementation. Worked with directors to develop a cross-group project plan based upon new service introduction (or NPD) methodology. Instituted schedule, risk and issue management practices, which also initialized team formation. Efforts brought stability and manageability to the initiative.

Strategic Project Mgmt Led implementation of a customer targeting capability at the Business Direct division. Directed development of a sophisticated, large-scale data ware-house and direct marketing software application. Brought teamwork and collaboration between, at time rivaling, silos and tribes. Introduced and implemented business process analysis, design and management principals. Aligned and coordinated over ten internal groups and external partners along an IT-enabled work flow. Following a successful system launch, assumed role of interim Process Manager. Successfully deployed the capability on time and increased process output by 300% and on-time reliability to 90%.
