It gives us great pleasure in inviting the members of the surgical oncology fraternity to the 34th annual conference of the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, the NATCON 2021. The conference would be held virtually on October 23-24 & 30-31, 2021. This annual conference is being held after two years and that too on a completely virtual platform. The Organising Committee of the NATCON 2021, has spotted this as an opportunity and is working hard to ensure a threefold bonanza on scientific content at less than one third registration fee.

The best minds of the surgical oncology world would be sharing their insights, expertise and skills with the delegates, and equip to handle real life challenges. We are confident that NATCON 2021 will prove to be the watershed event, to accelerate organ-based specialisation, expertise, data collection and research to serve our patients in every nook and corner in this part of the world.

During the last decade, we have seen huge growth in all aspects of cancer treatment. On the medical side, multimodal treatment has evolved to help find better solutions. The integration of genetic, molecular and immunological knowledge has taken cancer care into the next orbit. The tools in operation theatres have changed. Integration of technology and artificial intelligence software, is making complex procedures safer and pushing our limits further. This has led to redefining surgical oncology and surgical oncologists.

NATCON IASO 2021 Scien�fic Commi�ee invites all the delegates to submit their scien�fic research abstracts

for oral, e-poster and video presenta�on at the NATCON IASO 2021 scheduled to be held VIRTUALLY on

October 23-24 & 30-31, 2021. It is mandatory for the presen�ng authors to register for the congress, to

submit abstracts & have their papers included in the scien�fic program.

† All abstracts must be submi�ed through the official conference website www.natconiaso2021.com .

† In order to log onto the submission portal, you will have to create a username and password.

† It is mandatory to register for the conference to submit an abstract. Submi�ng an abstract DOES NOT register you for NATCON IASO 2021. You can register through the link provided on the registra�on page of the conference website.

† The abstracts must contain original content which is not published or presented at any other na�onal or interna�onal conferences prior to the NATCON IASO 2021.

† The abstracts must be submi�ed & presented in English language only.

† The abstract should not be of more than 300 words. It should be typed in the box provided on the online abstract submission portal.

† The abstract should contain the following subheadings.

o Aims & Objec�ves o Materials & Methods o Results o Conclusion

† Authors have the op�on to SAVE the abstracts as a DRAFT in case you feel that the abstract needs to be reworked on. Once the abstract is submi�ed, NO REVISIONS/ EDITING will be allowed.

† When submi�ng an abstract for review, make sure you click the submit bu�on one �me only. If you do not click the submit bu�on, your abstract will be saved in the “dra�s” sec�on of the submission site. “Dra�” submissions will not be considered for review.

† For E-Poster presenta�ons, it is desirable (although op�onal) that the presenter includes a 2-minute video of himself/ herself presen�ng the study, to supplement your e-poster. � No�fica�on regarding acceptance of the submission will be sent to the author on the email provided while submi�ng the abstract.

† The author may choose between the op�on of E-Poster or Oral presenta�on. However, the scien�fic commi�ee reserves the right to accept/ reject/ assign a different presenta�on type to all the abstracts submi�ed.

† The abstract need to be submi�ed in a par�cular topic and sec�on. The author should also select the award category he/she wishes to apply for.

† The abstracts sent through email, will not be accepted for review.

† All abstracts selected by the scien�fic commi�ee for e-poster/ oral presenta�on during NATCON 2021 will be published in the Indian Journal of Surgical Oncology.
