Rules for plurals:1) Normal rule: Noun + “S”

a. Book - booksb. Hat hats

2) Noun ending with “s”, “x”, “z”, “ch”, or “sh”: Noun + “ES”a. Bus busesb. Match matchesc. Box boxes

3) Noun ending with “Y” with I or E sound: Noun – “y” + “ies”a. Spy Spiesb. Baby babiesc. Boy boys (Y is not an I or E sound)

4) Noun ending with “F” or “FE”: Noun’s “F” changes to “V” and add “ES” or “S”
