After five decades of shaping Pensacola’s nightlife, Rosie O’Grady and Seville Quarter will host a fantastic 51st Birthday Bash, and we want YOU to come celebrate with us! Seville Quarter began in August of 1967 as a dream of the multifaceted Bob Snow, a Naval pilot from Minnesota, entrepreneur, Dixieland bandleader, designer, and virtuoso trumpet player. Wilmer Mitchell, Snow’s long-time attorney, and personal friend accepted the reigns from Snow, and has continued to operate the complex with his wife Neddy, and their seven children. Special thanks to Bob Snow for opening this grand establishment, and to the Mitchell Family for keeping her shining over the years.

Blues Foundation Sanctioned, International Blues Challenge (IBC) Competition

BLUES SOCIETY OF NW FLORIDA'S Regional Blues Challenge will be held at Seville Quarter on August 17 & 18, 2018. 16 acts, bands, duo/single have signed up to compete for an expenses-paid trip to compete at the International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis. The Blues Society of NW Florida’s Regional Blues Challenge event will bring a full weekend of great Blues Music to Downtown Pensacola. Music will start on Friday in Lili Marlene’s at 9:00pm with Lucky Strke Blues Band. Saturday starting at 2:00pm the Blues Band Challenge will be played in the Lili Marlene's room of Seville Quarter featuring National and Local Blues Bands. At the conclusion of the competition, Spearman Brewery Blues Band will host a Blues Jam Section with all of the participants in the Lili Marlene’s Room inside Seville Quarter. Blues Foundation sanctioned IBC Competition. The winner in each category must be able to travel to Memphis, Tennessee to compete in the 35th International Blues Challenge, which is held in the venues of Beale Street, in January 2019. The Blues Foundation started the International Blues Challenge (IBC) with the theory to keep the Blues alive, and to cultivated new talent. The Blues Foundation presents the International Blues Challenge in Memphis every winter. Blues organizations affiliated with the Foundation stage regional competitions around the world and send the top unsigned artists from their region to compete in the IBC finals in Memphis. The winner receives a cash prize, studio time, appearances at several major Blues events around the country and the title of "Best Unsigned Blues Band". The judges also present a guitarist with the Albert King Award for the most promising guitarist. ** All Acts considering competing in the IBC Competition MUST be able to travel to Memphis in January of 2019 to Compete in the 35th International Blues Challenge should they win their respective categories**

present the 35th Annual 5k Charity Run/Walk in Downtown Pensacola. To sign up

The race will begin in front of Seville Square, wind through the streets of Downtown,

continuing around Veteran’s Memorial Park & ending at Seville Square. Started in

1983, the original charity race was organized with the goal of helping families of the

241 American service members killed in the bombing attack on the Marine barracks

in Beirut. Today, the purpose of the race is to give back to the Pensacola community

that so willingly supports Marine training.
