Part of the session: Main part Length of the game: 15 minutes Development: Badminton is a individual or pairs racquet sport. The racket is smaller than the tennis one, and the ball is called feather. It weighs much less and flies more than a tennis or paddle ball. It is the fastest racket sport in the world. The playing field is a rectangular of 13,40m x 5,18m, and it´s divided by a net in the middle. The goal is to move the ball to the opponent's field without falling in our field and passing over the net. When the ball touches the ground adds a point. The person or team who wins 3 sets wins the match. Each set is 21 points. For this session will make various fields and try to play individual all simultaneously. We will play like a tournament trying not to repeat opponent to play all against all. To make de session more dynamic, we will play games for only 11 points, and then quickly change and play against another opponent. If we do not have much space to play we can adapt the game to play 2 vs 2.

India is a country located in South Asia. It is the second most populous in the world after China and has historically been known for its many commercial routes.

It was annexed by the Oriental Indian British Company (Compañía Británica de las Indias Orientales) from the early eighteenth century and colonized by United Kingdom in the mid-nineteenth century. Finally, India became an independent nation in 1947 after a battle for independence that was marked by a movement of nonviolence.

Badminton is a game that was invented in India and originally was called Poona. Some British soldiers watched the game in India and brought to England in 1873. There the Duke of Beaufort became interested in the game, which was played regularly on his farm in Gloucestershire. His farm was called "badminton", and that is why this name was associated with the game.

The Duke of Beaufort utilized some old tennis rackets and champagne bottle corks to simulate the game from India.

It is in England where the rules was created and stop being a hobby to become a sport.

In 1893 the "Badminton Association of England" was created, and badminton begins to expand around the world. In 1934 the International Badminton Federation was created.

Nowadays is a very popular sport, especially in Asia.

It is an Olympic sport since Barcelona 92.
