Transi on Program  During the month of November we conduct a College Wide Transi on Program. We offer the opportunity for students star ng in 2019 in Prep to come and experience a typical me at school and then for students making the transi on from Grade 2 to Grade 3, from Grade 4 to Grade 5 and from Grade 6 to Year 7 to spend me learning about the expecta ons of that next level in their school life. This program does take some organisa on and we receive great feedback from students and teachers so will con nue to provide this program. Whilst the Transi on program is running we offer a Parent Helpers Course. This course is available for parents who wish to assist in the classroom but it also is useful for all parents who just want to know how best to support their children in their learning at home. If you are interested in the Parent Helpers Course just contact the office at either school. Halloween Disco/ Dress Up  What a fabulous me was had by all the students who were able to a end the Halloween Disco last Friday night! It was pleasing to see so many parents assis ng with supervision on the night and hear elt thanks to Angela, Heather and Neil who along with many others planned so well and gave up me and energy to get the decora ons in place for such a wonderful event. Thanks also to DJ Jaxon Deneys. What a talent we have in Jaxon, at Baden Powell College! Soiree  Speaking of talented people at Baden Powell College, we do have our Annual Soiree this Thursday at 3:30 in the Arts Centre at the Tarneit Campus. We have students and teachers who will be performing and lots of sta c art work on display. We would love to see you come along if you can. Congratula ons to the College Arts Team and to Debra Bennet who had the idea for this fabulous event. 1000 Cans Challenge  This week members of Earlyact and Interact are seeking to collect a 1000 cans to donate to the Salva on Army. Homeless people in Wyndham will benefit from this project and really we would like to have cans with a pull off top as this makes it easier for our most disadvantaged people to actually take a can and have a meal. I trust that you will help us to achieve our goal of 1000 cans before the end of November. Yours in Educa on, Looking Forward, Staying Ahead, ]âÄ|x `táÉÇ College Principal

2018 North Cup DERRIMUT HEATH BOYS WIN THE GRAND FINAL

(AFL 9’s)

On Thursday the 18th of October some selected grade three and

four students from both our campuses par cipated in the

inaugural North Cup. Derrimut Heath Primary School won the boys compe on and finished second in the girls compe on. All students had a very exci ng day and played with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. There

was also a Kangaroos mascot that kept students entertained during lunch me.

AFL 9s is the AFL's official social version of the game. It's a fast, fun, free‐flowing game that involves 9 players on each team playing on a smaller field. Best of all, it's 'touch football' with no tackling or bumping, making it suita‐

ble for everyone.

Thank‐you to Mr Murray, Mr Zammit, Hayley Cloke, Melissa Yates and Carlie Davis for coaching and suppor ng the day for the students.
