• To assist 2,500 financially distressed college and university students in flood affected areas to continue higher studies, allocated budget $100k

• Progress To Date

• 1,058 intermediate students awarded total stipends of $31,100/-

• 94 university students approved for another $5,500/- stipends

• Approximately $63,400 to be disbursed over next 3 months

• Original Target

• To provide 42 flood-displaced families with one-room shelters in KPK province, allocated budget $75k

• Progress To Date

• Project expanded to 49 shelters and includes the poor and widows – Model Village named after Ernst and Young

• 25 shelters are complete and families have moved in already, boundary wall completed for remaining 24 units

• 7 wells for water supply (2 funded by EY donations)

• Participatory development – beneficiaries sharing partial cost of land and providing labor support

• To assist rehabilitate 100 families in Sind province, allocated budget $155k

• Progress To Date

• Model Village project expanded to include 140 units within the budgeted amount

• Free land provided by local landowner

• Pilot project complete with construction of 10 shelters, families have moved in already, construction of remaining units progressing well

• Provision of community center, school for girls and boys, and a microfinance initiative being co-developed with other donors
