Classroom ExpectationsClassroom Expectations
Responsible- attentive listening and take care of yourself
Organized- have all materials daily and everything in its place
Aiming High- do your personal best, be on time daily, and complete all work
Respectful- be kind to yourself and others

Behavior PlanBehavior Plan Student behavior is kept track of through the clip
chart. Each child starts on the green “Ready to Learn”
section. Getting “caught” being good results in moving up the chart. Making poor choices results in moving down to yellow or red. Moving to yellow is a warning. Moving then to red results in a consequence such as time off recess or a $2.00 fine in the mini-economy.
Behavior will be noted in student agendas each day. I ask that parents sign the agenda each night.

Mini-EconomyMini-Economy Various classroom jobs will be available for
students to apply for. Students will earn $5 for coming to school and
showing that they are ready to learn. Students who take on an extra job will earn $2 more per day.
Students will be fined for not following rules or doing their job. It is possible to be “fired” from your classroom job.
We will have a classroom store once a month.

Students receive a new spelling list each Monday.
Test will be given on Friday. There will be review words from
previous lists on the spelling test to hold students accountable for mastering spelling patterns.

in the reading series. The test over reading skills will be on Friday. Our test will not be over a single story!
Occasionally, we will read chapter books in small groups or as a whole class in addition to our text books.
Focuses will include comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency.
