Built in the late 1930s, Earle Bridge connects the east campus to the west campus. It was named for Rear Admiral Ralph Earle, WPI’s sixth president. Students cross this bridge hundreds of times during their years at WPI, but the trip they remember most is the one they make, dressed in cap and gown, on Commencement Day, as they march to the Quad to receive their well-deserved degrees.
