Novare Trophy for SA Terroir Top Wine Estate 2012 is Wildekrans Estate, between Grabouw and Hermanus in the

Bot River Ward of the Walker Bay District. The Wildekrans

Chenin Blanc Barrel Selection 2010 is in the five top scoring wines of all the wines entered in the competition and besides

being one of the Top 5 Estate Wines, it was also selected as the National Winner of Chenin Blanc. Two more wines, Shiraz Barrel

Select Reserve 2010 and Cape Blend Barrel Select Reserve 2011.

My Casa

The production of My Casa at this year’s Kalfiefees is a

celebration of local talent in action. Not only is it the only

original show at the arts festival – its opening night will be

at 18:00 on August 10 at the De Wet Hall in Onrus – it

combines an abundance of talent into an exclusively local

production.

While much of the material has been written by the three

performers, they also incorporate the words of other Overberg

writers. Old masters such as Jan Rabie and Uys Krige feature, as

do contemporary poets like Michael Cope, Jean-Jacques de

Chaval and Jasper van Zyl. ..More
