Oct. 22: Depart U.S. from JFK Airport in New York City via Egypt Air to Cairo. Oct. 23: Arrive in Cairo in the morning, transport to the Le Meridien Pyramids Hotel. Snack on the bus, dinner together at Mohammed Fayed’s house, and then rest from the flight. D Oct. 24: Morning tour of the Giza Plateau, with its three great pyramids, queen’s pyramids, Isis Temple, Sphinx, Valley Temple, and panoramic view; including private meditation time in the Great Pyramid! Enjoy a camel ride on the plateau and a wonderful dinner at Le Meridien Hotel. Overnight at the Le Meridien. B, L, D. Oct. 25: Tour Sakkara, including Mereruka’s tomb, with its beautiful painted walls; Teti’s Pyramid, with its ancient text and starry ceiling; and the Jubilee Temple of Pharaoh Djoser. Then on to Dahshur, with its three amazing pyra-mids: the Red, “Bent,” and Black Pyramid. Then visit a carpet factory to see how these luxurious carpets have been made for generations. Breakfast at hotel, lunch in Sakkara, and dinner at Le Meridien. Overnight at Le Me-ridien. B, L, D. Oct. 26: Tour the magnificent Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza. Fly to Luxor in the evening. Transfer to Sonesta St. George Luxor Hotel on the bank of the Nile. B, L, D. Oct. 27: Visit the mammoth Karnak Temple (over 60 acres, the largest temple in ancient Egypt), and have lunch along the Nile. Visit the beautiful Luxor temple, laid out in the pattern of the human body. B, L, D. Oct. 28: Check out of Luxor hotel and visit the Valley of the Kings. Here you will visit the beautifully painted tombs, the Temple of Hatshepsut (the famous female Pharaoh), the large Habu Temple of Rameses III, and the Memnon Colossi. Oct. 29: Free morning and sail to Edfu around noon. B, L, D. Oct. 30: Visit the amazing Edfu Temple and the “duality” temple at Kom Ombo in ancient Nubia. Continue sailing to cruise to Aswan. Attend a Galabia party (Egyptian gown night). B, L, D. Oct. 31: Arrive in beautiful Aswan. Visit Philae Temple in the morning and in the afternoon we will visit Elephan-tine Island, museum, and Khnum Temple via native feluc-ca sailboats. B, L, D. Nov. 1: Fly to Cairo and have lunch in a local restaurant. Check in at the Le Meridien Cairo Airport Hotel and enjoy a free afternoon and evening. B, L, D. Nov. 2: Transfer to airport for a morning departure from Cairo to JFK Airport. B
