ITAK Author 1.3.0.4
Content Ideas
Advice, information and experiences useful to IT Asset Management or IT executive management describes the diverse content in ITAK. Depending on the author, articles can be: entry level, experience-required, executive, specific to a segment of the readership, or advanced. Practitioners sharing real experiences are greatly appreciated. Providers sharing industry perspectives are equally valuable. Examples of topics include software licensing processes, final disposition how-tos, IT technology advancements, project results, working with other departments such as finance, regional and global focused articles, selecting vendors and working with service management.
Articles that are relevant to a specific segment of the readership are welcome. For example, articles on IT related government requirements, ITAM in the insurance industry, hiring qualified staff or managing an organization in transition are all good topics.
Details Articles should be at least 900 words in a WORD document in English and without elaborate formatting. Authors can make suggestions for titles and subtitles and provide graphics for articles if they wish (not required). Articles should be sent to [email protected] or to Jenny Schuchert at [email protected]. A signed copy of page 3 must be faxed into IAITAM or sent directly to Jenny. Articles can be sent in at any time and on any topic. Articles over 1,500 words will be considered for the cover. Articles received by the 15th of the prior month will appear in the next ITAK issue unless it is a specialty issue (see calendar on the next page).
Content that is a direct sales pitch will be removed as all ITAK articles are educational only. Vendor bashing is not permitted. However, well thought-out opinions that stir discussion and controversy or that differ from IAITAM's perspective are welcome.
Advantages
As an ITAM practitioner or provider, sharing work experiences and ideas starts readers thinking and discussing ideas. As an author, hone your communication skills and become an influencer in the industry (excellent for the resume).
