The setting in the stunning Salzkammergut lake region lets you explore Austria’s pic-turesque Alpine lakes and nearby Salzburg, Hallstatt, and Bad Ischl. The Romantik Hotel Im Weissen Rössl found world-wide fame when the eponymous 1930 operetta and musical and later, the 1960 musical film introduced audiences to the hotel and its charming surroundings on Wolfgangsee lake. In 1995, the hotel opened as the first design hotel in Vienna. Originally planned by famous architect Sir Terence Conran, Das Triest was expanded in 2018 with additional rooms and suites by Wehdorn Architects.
