Late Night Shopping We know this is early but Christmas will be here before we know it! On Wednesday 8th November the retailers at Basepoint will be holding a Late Night Shopping night. We have held these in the past with great success. Basepoint are kindly opening the conference room and reception area for stall holders at a charge of £5 per table and a donation for a raffle. Proceeds from these are being donated to St Michael’s Hospice. We already have Forever Living Aloe Vera products, CraftyJax Jewellery and Gift Boxes, Cards by Primrose, Penny Jubin from The Glass Maidens, Christine Graham from Yarnpile with her knitted goodies and wool stocks, and Tracey Alexander with her chain mail goodies confirmed for the evening. If you feel you have something slightly different to offer, the craftier the better, and would like a table, please get in touch with us at The Bead Base or with Philip at Victoria’s Deli. Retailers open on the night so far will be The Bead Base, Victoria’s Deli, who will be holding tastings of some of the delicious products available, Creative Wood Flooring, Purple Stitches, Bato Baits, and Top Notch Interiors. All retailers and stall holders will be here until 9pm. School Holiday Classes During school holidays we do not have any of our groups in. Please see our class list for details of classes, Bring Out Your Dead days, Make and Take days and an ‘Anything Goes Day’! We will however keep Wednesdays as a ‘free beading’ day. Although we cannot always guarantee the table will be free, we will always do our best to accommodate you.

Table Space – From September With the end of the holidays fast approaching, our Learning Disability groups will be returning during the first week of September. We will also be welcoming back Farnborough Day Service on a Thursday morning. This means that the table will be in use but will free up at 11.45am for those who would like to come in and bead.

Bead and Banter This is a friendly group meeting on the last Wednesday of every month, commencing at normal shop closing, where you can bring your work along, and bead and chat to like-minded enthusiasts. Tea or coffee is provided, and occasionally the odd cake or biscuit. There is a £2 fee for the evening. Over the past few months we have noticed dwindling attendance levels for Bead and Banter. If this continues we will discontinue the evenings. Please could you let us know, by registering your interest on Facebook, if you would like us to continue. The dates for the next Bead and Banters are: Wednesday 30th August 6-9pm Wednesday 27th September 6-9pm

Sterling silver Due to the fluctuations in the metals markets, sterling silver will be ordered on request. This will ensure that when you order you will be paying current market price. Basic sterling findings are usually in stock within 3 days of order.

Bulk Quantities If you wish to order beads and supplies in larger quantities, please let us know and we will do our best to work out a good deal for you. This may be a good way to save money, as buying in bulk can be less expensive than the alternative. This applies to beads, cords, findings, and much more.

Dementia groups Sandy would like to express her thanks to all the people who have donated beads so far. Sue and Holly will continue to take donations at the shop if you have any beads, cords, findings or even broken jewellery that you’d like to give to a good cause.
