College Background

Atlantis Beach Baptist College opened on the 1st February 2017 and provides inclusive

education within a safe, caring and nurturing space. The College is situated in the most

northerly part of the Perth metro region. In the College’s inaugural year, students were

welcomed from Pre-Kindy to Year 9. Excellent growth in student numbers have resulted in

the College catering for Kindy to Year 10 in 2018. The college is a member of Baptist Schools

of Western Australia.

Atlantis Beach Baptist College pursues a respectful environmental approach to learning with

awareness of sustainability and social responsibility, and demonstrates this with a

commitment to being ‘off grid’ and using only solar energy.

College Families

Students are drawn from the Two Rocks region and beyond, serving both coastal and rural

communities as far north as Gabbadah and east to Gingin, and from the new suburbs in the

northern corridor.

College Parents and Friends

The College has an active Parents and Friends (P&F) Group which meets regularly to

discuss how best to serve the College students and community. Parent involvement is

welcomed at Atlantis Beach Baptist College

Attendance Follow-up Procedures On the day of the absence At approximately 9.00am each day the Attendance Officer will send an SMS to the registered mobile phone number of the parent or guardian of all students marked absent. The Attendance Officer will process the replies to each SMS. At approximately 10am, the Attendance Officer will begin telephoning the parents/guardians of students who are absent and who have not provided the College with an explanation for the absence. The Attendance Officer will ensure that all rolls are marked at the required times and that any

discrepancies in student attendance are investigated in a timely manner.

Students who are absent for an extended period are required to provide a medical certificate

upon their return to the College. Students who do not meet the 90% attendance requirements

as per the Education Act, are cased managed and medical documentation must be provided

to support absences.

Performance Review Staff, Students and Parents

The College conducted surveys to assess performance and personal well-being in a range

of services and activities provided by the College. Staff, students and parents completed the

surveys online. The results have been analysed to identify areas that require improvement

and need addressing in future strategic whole school planning.
