• Deoksiribosa dimiliki DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid)(deoxyribonucleic acid)
• Ribosa dimiliki RNA (ribonucleic acid).

Proses utama dlm metabolisme informasi:
1. Replikasi DNA berperan sbg cetakan untuk sintesisnya sdr

3. Translasi RNA berperan sbg cetakan untuk sintesis suatu rantai polipeptida ttt

3. DNA Polymerase (the “helper”)- puts ‘free’ bases on the parent strands- the bases form new strands of DNA
4. Finished! Now there are two identical pieces of DNAof DNA

DNA Polymerase –- it creates a polymer of DNA- it proofreads the new DNAp

Not all codons are used with equal frequency.
There is aThere is a considerable amount ofamount of variationin the patterns of codon usage between different

P tid b dPeptide bond formationcatalyzed by an enzyme complexenzyme complex called peptidyltransferase
Peptidyltransferase consists of some ribosomal proteins and the ribosomal RNA acts as a ribozyme.
The processThe processis repeated until a termination signal is reached.
A stop codon on the mRNA is reached and this signals the ribosome to leave the mRNA. A newly synthesised protein is now complete!
Termination of t l titranslation occurs when one of the stop codons (UAA, UAG, or UGA) appears in the A site of the ribosomeA site of the ribosome.
No tRNAs correspond to those sequences so no tRNAthose sequences, so no tRNAis bound during termination.
Proteins called releaseProteins called release factors participate in termination
