The cembonit creates unique beauty, protects against fluctuating temperatures and acts as a rainscreen helping to reduce energy costs. Dimensions: 4ft x 10ft or 4ft x 8ft sheets. Composition: Asbestos free flat sheets, double compressed and stabilized in an autoclave, and reinforced with mineralized cellulose fibers. Treatment: Sheets are varnished with micro-porous alkali-resistant varnish fixed wit a UV polymerizing system. The treatment greatly reduced the absorption and allows for an easily cleaned surface. Air Cavity: The air cavity behind the panels helps the system to function as a rainscreen and a reflector of solar radiation. Any heat that accumulates on the wall is not passed through to underlying layers behind the wall this is because of the air cavity that introduces free flowing air. The ventilation air cavity also prevents water from spreading inward. Most water will run down the face side and what does make it into the air gap will run down the back of the panel. The water then evaporates. The ventilation introduced by the air cavity will also allow moisture from within the structure to pass through the wall and escape. Reclaimed Redwood The ancient species of redwood is from the local area around our site. Heritage Salvage is located in Petaluma, CA, 45 minutes from the site. Redwood will be used to clad the core box of my building as well as the slats locating in the production area. Arista Winery is designed to create a personal connection between the visitor and the place the wine originates from. It does this through a series of distinct experiences that frame the context at the Arista Estate. Cembonit Fiber cement cladding sheets used for internal and external purposes. The cembonit creates unique beauty, protects against fluctuating temperatures and acts as a rainscreen helping to reduce energy costs.
