AREVA Resources Canada Inc. Headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, AREVA Resources Canada is a leading producer of uranium, accounting for 11.3 million pounds or over one third of the uranium concentrate produced in Canada in 2015. Our Operations In 2015, AREVA’s McClean Lake mill produced a record 11.3 million pounds of uranium concentrate from the Cigar Lake mine ore. AREVA’s share of this production totalled 4.2 million pounds. With its latest upgrade and expansion, the McClean Lake mill now has a production capacity of 24 million pounds. However our current production plans are to ramp-up the mill to an 18 million pound production by 2017 and hold steady, leaving some capacity for potentially processing uranium ores from other sources in the future. The McClean Lake mill is a unique facility; it is the most technologically advanced mill in the world specifically designed to process high-grade uranium ore without dilution. AREVA owns 37.1% of the Cigar Lake mine and 30.2% of the McArthur River mine, respectively the world’s highest grade and largest uranium mines. The ore from the Cigar Lake mine is treated at AREVA’s McClean Lake mill, while the ore from the McArthur River mine is treated at the Key Lake mill. Both the Cigar Lake and McArthur River mines produce ore grades 100 times the world average. AREVA also owns 16.7% of the Key Lake mill. AREVA’s share of the concentrate production at the McArthur River/Key Lake operation reached 5.9 million pounds in 2015. AREVA has been exploring for uranium and producing uranium concentrate in Canada for over 50 years. AREVA Resources Canada Inc. is a subsidiary of the AREVA group. AREVA supplies high added-value products and services to support the operation of the global nuclear fleet. The company is present throughout the entire nuclear cycle, from uranium mining to used- fuel recycling, including nuclear reactor design and operating services. AREVA is recognized by utilities around the world for its expertise, its skills in cutting-edge technologies and its dedication to the highest level of safety. AREVA’s 40,000 employees are helping build tomorrow’s energy model: supplying ever safer, cleaner and more economical energy to the greatest number of people. AREVA, through its Mining Business Line, is a world leader in uranium mining, producing 16 percent of global production. AREVA Resources Canada is part of the Mining Business Line and employs nearly 500 people in the province of Saskatchewan. About two-thirds of these employees work at AREVA’s McClean Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan. www.facebook.com/arevaresources @arevaresources www.YouTube.com/arevaresources

Exploration Canada is a significant focus of the AREVA group’s worldwide uranium exploration activities. Our exploration team is actively searching for uranium deposits in various locations in Canada, particularly in northern Saskatchewan. AREVA currently operates 30 exploration projects in the Athabasca Basin and two in Nunavut. Additionally, AREVA is partnered in 16 projects based in the Athabasca Basin. The Athabasca Basin is home to the highest known concentrations of uranium in the world with ore grades beyond 20%. In 2015 AREVA’s exploration team drilled over 48,000 metres and contributed to an additional 71,000 metres of drilling through its interests in joint venture partnerships. Shea Creek is one of the areas of focus of AREVA’s uranium exploration in Saskatchewan. Situated in the western Athabasca Basin, it is one of the largest known undeveloped uranium resources in Canada.

Our Commitments With activities concentrated in northern Saskatchewan, AREVA continues to show its commitment to the people of the North -- to their prosperity and priorities, especially health, safety and the environment. Safe OperationsAREVA and its employees are committed to safe operations. Employees at McClean Lake, Saskatoon and exploration camps maintain excellent safety records with extremely low lost-time accident rates -- a testament to the safety culture among AREVA employees and the effectiveness of our wide range of safety-related programs and training. EnvironmentMonitoring and protecting the environment is a constant focus at AREVA. Emissions from operations at McClean Lake remain well below regulatory limits, and we have a firm focus and pride in protecting the environment throughout our exploration activities too. AREVA also takes great care in monitoring the now decommissioned Cluff Lake mine in northwest Saskatchewan. Ongoing water monitoring indicates that water quality objectives established for this decommissioned site are being met. Economic BenefitsAREVA’s activities also result in socio-economic benefits, particularly for northern Saskatchewan. In 2015 AREVA purchased more than $219 million in goods and services from Saskatchewan businesses, including $47 million from Aboriginal and northern Saskatchewan-based businesses. AREVA also donated over $1,200 per employee to non-profit and community organizations representing a total of $580,000 and further provided $100,000 in post-secondary scholarships to northern Saskatchewan students.

With over 46% of its workforce at the McClean Lake operation being of Aboriginal ancestry, AREVA is among the largest industrial employers of Aboriginal people in Canada, an achievement we strive to maintain and increase in the years to come.

AREVA is committed to protecting the environment, health and safety of the people where it operates.
