Mission Statement Our parish purpose is to use our faith in God and our

personal experience and talents to love, teach, and inspire

all people so that we follow and serve Jesus, in word and

deed, to build up the Kingdom of God.

Dear brothers and sisters,

In the Holy Family, which we

celebrate this Sunday, we have the

example of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Obedience to the will of God the Father

was necessary for Christ to accomplish His

mission. This virtue of obedience lived by

Christ was expressed first in His obedience

to His earthly parents. Often times those

virtues that are practiced by the parents are

passed on and imitated by their children.

Many forces in society are fighting

against the unity of the family. Society

tells us that the individual is the most

important. What is best for me is what I

should pursue, without any sense of

dedication or commitment to anyone else.

A family is very much like a body, when

one member hurts, the whole family

should feel the pain and try to heal it. We

have to try to do everything we can to heal

and keep our families together, make the

sacrifices necessary to keep it whole.

Parents, love your children, spend time

with them, and give them good advice

about what is truly important in life. We

work to provide for our children, but our

children are the ones we truly treasure. To

the older members of our communities,

you have so much to offer our society:

your experience, your hope, your wisdom.

Now is the time for us to strengthen our

resolve to love one another, especially our

children, even as Christ loves us. Because

this is a work of love, it will require a

spirit of sacrifice; but because it is a work

of love, it is a work of hope in the power

of love to overcome all difficulties, all

obstacles.

Happy New Year to you and your

family! May the Holy Family bless us all

and keep our families in peace and restore

us to one another.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Vincent

Padre Vicente
