An aqueous parts cleaning system designed and built by Almco Inc. for custom applications is available. The system computer-monitors and controls washing, drying, and liquid recycling

prior to painting and plating operations. The number of the part to be cleaned is identified to the computer, whose pre- programming of process parameters accommodates the job. Fed by conveyor to the system, parts enter the parts washer, which features stainless steel components, and rotate at variable speed on a work table with adjustable, high-pressure spray nozzles at top, sides, and bottom. The parts move automatically on a 24in. wide roller conveyor to a rotary-type RPD-24 heated dryer and, at a preset time, they continue to a station for removal from the system-the only manual operation in the entire cleaning process.
