April 2012

staffDavid Mehrle, Senior MinisterBrian Ebersold, Children’s MinisterTawnya Nall, Administrative Assistant

Spring is here and March has been a beautiful month. I know many are out getting their lawns cleaned up, preparing to plant and working extra hours to make everything look nice. What a reward it will be when you are finished and you can sit back and enjoy what you have done until the weeds start coming up and the plants start looking overgrown. Then it is time to step in and do some cleaning out of weeds and pruning of the rose bushes. It will take constant work to continue to have a wonderful looking yard and landscape all Spring and into the Fall.

With a season of new beginnings I want to encourage you to think about where you are in regard to your relationship with Christ. Is it time for you to make a new start and accept Him as your Lord and Savior?

Maybe you have already made the decision (and let’s be honest) to start the year with the idea you would begin reading your Bible, tithing on a regular basis and finding a place to serve. With all the craziness of life, you just have not made those things

a priority, now is the time. As a new season comes upon us, use it as a reason to create some fresh, new beginnings in your life.

Not all things can be made new. However, when we come before Christ and ask Him to lead us and mold us He will show up and create something beautiful only Christ can make happen. Use this new season to begin new things that will help you grow spiritually, as well as, prune out those things in your life that are not beneficial to who God wants you to be.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
