Renowned designer Michael Berman has completed

residential interior projects from New York to Los

Angeles for an enviable client list made up of the

business and entertainment worlds’ elite and hospitality

design for The Fairmont Hotel Group. Berman’s

products and interiors reflect his interest in history,

art, architecture and nature. Michael’s work strikes an

uncommon balance between timeless style and an of-

the-moment relevance.

Inspired by comfort, American Modernism and

simplicity of form, his design resonates with Design

Industry colleagues. Berman is Founder and Principal

creative visionary behind Michael Berman Limited;

a multi-faceted design firm focusing on Interior,

Furniture, Textile and Product Design for the Design

Industry. Bronze Studio, Berman’s Los Angeles based

home furnishings showroom carries his complete line

of home furnishings, vintage finds and accessories.

Berman’s work has appeared in most industry shelter

magazines including Elle Décor, Traditional Home and

Architectural Digest.

Califolio, Michael’s collection for Theodore Alexander

includes clean lines, modern shapes, softly tailored

upholstery and well scaled occasional pieces accompanied

by unique finishes and a color palette which communicates

the light airy style of southern California living. The

combination of finishes in the collection is much like its

inspiration, a perfect mix of glamour and simplicity. “To

dress the collection we’ve selected lush textiles that

cool the skin, warm the heart and dazzle the eyes,” adds

Berman. “Each piece is designed to be used individually or

in a suite of furnishings. There is a thread that runs through

this collection that incorporates my modernist influence

and credo: restraint, quiet luxury and effortless comfort.”

Signature items include the Collins Dresser in streamlined

solid oak, the Balboa Bookcase in ultra-suede, lacquer

and oak, and the Flint Table.

Whilst we make every effort to accurately reproduce the colours of the furniture illustrated, differences in texture, grain and colour are inherent in all natural woodwork and should be expected as the individual characteristics of materials used. Variations in these qualities are not manufacturing defects and will not be accepted as such for the purpose of claims. Some changes in colour or texture may occur during the life cycle of the product, particularly in leather, wood and veneer.

All exposed surfaces of Theodore Alexander furniture are prepared, sanded and finished, even though at times they are not visible. This includes the undersides, the back and the inside of the drawer boxes amongst others.
