We prayed, fasted and gave alms—and now we celebrate Easter joy! Our Lenten jour-ney with CRS Rice Bowl ends as we en-

counter our Risen Lord. We reflect on our brothers and sis-ters we have walked with, and we commit to bringing Easter joy to each person we meet in our daily lives. Easter Egg Hunt After 10:30 Mass this Sunday

The parish office will be closed Monday, April 2nd for an Easter Holiday (and to recoup

from Holy Week) and closed at 1pm on Friday, April 6th.

Knights Breakfast next weekend, April 8th. Even if you cannot attend breakfast you can still make donations, collected by Knight's repre-sentatives in the foyer and parish hall. As al-ways, you can also purchase breakfasts to go.

Dear Awesome Teens, We will not be meeting this Sunday. We pray that you have an amazing Easter with your family. We have a Coeur d'Alene outing planned for Saturday, April 14th. We will begin with a hike of Tubbs Hill, have lunch, spend the afternoon seeing the sights, have Mass at St. Thomas parish and then head to dinner and a movie. Night Walk Ministry will be serving meals to House of Charity (HOC) residents inside the facility. At times the meals will consist of sandwiches and other times we will prepare hot food. The next date for this ministry will be Tuesday, April 10th at 9am (after morning Mass) in the parish hall to make sandwiches and bag cookies. Cookie donations are always needed. We also welcome volunteers to assist in serving the food from 4:30 - 5:30pm. If interested please contact Deacon Chalo at 263-9553 or by email: [email protected].

The Charity and Justice Committee has a Donation Barrel set up in the lobby for Charities. Each month, the requested do-nation items will be updated to reflect the most pressing need. At the end of each month, the barrel will be emptied and delivered to the chosen charity. For the month of April we will be collecting items for Mission Community Outreach. Mission Community Out-reach provides clothing and limited supplies of household items, infant care items, personal hygiene items, and support for domestic violence and fire victims with referral from a partner agency. Right now what would be most helpful would be Hygiene products, especially shampoo & condi-tioner, baby shampoo, body wash or soap, lotion Clothing, especially men’s and school age children

Otis Orchards Elementary Supplies Needed! Thank your everyone for the generous supply of tissues! The teachers are now asking for pencil eraser toppers; dry erase board markers, cleaning spray and erasers; single subject wide-ruled spiral notebooks; and pencils. There is a collection box under the table by the office window.

Seniors on the Go are planning a one day trip to Pataha Flour Mill, Pataha, WA and the Palouse Falls thru AlphaOmega Tours and Charters, Wednesday, April 11th. The trip cost only $69/person which includes travel, lunch, tip for touring the mill (which includes shops, a museum and a café) and a visit to Palouse Falls which should be spectacu-lar in April. You must call 509-299-5594 to reserve your spot and say you are with St Joseph Parish. The estimated time frame is 8am to 5pm. They will be carpooling from the church to the bus pick-up spot. Before the trip you will re-ceive a letter with details. You don’t need to be a “senior” to join them—the more the merrier!

YOUTH FUNDRAISER Thank you to all of you who supported our youth fundraiser!! Sales exceeded expectations! This fundraiser will support the 2019 youth pil-grimage to Rome and Lourdes and other Catholic youth activities.

The Charity and Justice committee prepared Spring Break snack bags for 24 students in the Bite 2 Go Program at Otis Orchards Elementary. Big thanks for the food gener-ously donated by Yokes in Liberty Lake and URM Cash and Carry.

WE RECYCLE!! St Joseph Par ish recycles our paper, cardboard, aluminum, steel cans, and plastic. If you have a meeting or event at the parish, please use the special blue recycle cans and then empty

them into the smaller dumpster outside the north door of the parish hall. Please do not put other garbage and kitchen waste in these blue Recycle cans inside or the outside receptacle.

Immaculate Heart Needs Volunteer Help! The retreat center is in desperate need of new volunteers for their Marthas and Josephs program. This group of dedicated women & men volunteer to come to IHRC to clean rooms after a retreat. This usually happens on Mondays from 9am to 12pm. Chores range from vacuuming to cleaning sinks, toilets, and shower areas. Then they are treated to lunch in the retreat center’s dining room.
