SPOTLIGHT ON...SCHOOL COUNCIL: The Good Shepherd School Council advises the pastor and principal on matters related to our parish school. Members are either elected or appointed for 3 year terms. They regularly meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:15 in the school library and their meetings are open to the public. They are currently promoting enrollment for the 2017-18 school year. We appreciate their time and input.

organ and piano skills, basic Catholic liturgical knowledge, and a Kentucky Teaching
Certificate to serve in a newly developed combined position. This full-time
position, with benefits offered, aims to fulfill a shared ministry position as both our
Parish Music & Choir Director and our Parochial School’s Music Teacher. We have
one English choir of 10 members and one Hispanic Choir of 10 members. Minimal
Spanish language skills are an advantage. Located in Central Kentucky, closely
between the metropolitans of Lexington and Louisville, Frankfort enjoys four equal
seasons annually. Our parish and school welcome you and others to become a part
of our vibrant Catholic community within the Roman Catholic Diocese of

BAKE SALE AND RAFFLE: The Good Shepherd Ladies Auxiliary Spring Bake Sale & Raffle will be held April 29 & 30, 2017. 3 weeks to go! All baked goods are welcome for the bake sale; we will be accepting baked donations after 3pm on Saturday 4/29 and after 8am on Sunday, 4/30 for the sale. DIOCESAN ANNUAL APPEAL: Response Sunday for
the Diocesan Annual Appeal is April 29/30. Your gracious support of the DAA provides the outreach services and mission presence throughout Eastern and Central Kentucky with much-needed resources to provide food, clothing, emergency shelter, medication, counseling, and compassionate care for those most in need. LENTEN CONCERT: The "Gospel Mass" by Robert Ray will be performed by singers from the community on Palm Sunday, April 9 at 3 PM. at First Christian Church, Ann Street. This is a rhythmic and inspiring Mass directed by Dr. Carl Smith. Guest Performers are the Jazz Disciples, a 12 piece instrumental group, which plays gospel songs in a jazzy style. This is a free concert but an offering will be taken which will benefit ROSM and the Franklin Co. Women and Family Shelter. All ages will enjoy this hour of music!
THE MOM PROM: Share a night of glitz & glamour with all the girls in your life to support Kentucky's abused & neglected children. All God's Children invites you to the 5th Annual Mom Prom on April 28, 2017 at 7pm at the RJ Corman Hangar in Nicholasville. Enjoy dinner, dancing and a silent auction.
