FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSHow long does the application process take? After you have submitted your application, all requested materials have been received, and there are no further items on your Admissions To-Do List, you may expect a decision on your ConnectCarolina Student Center within 3-5 business days.

I applied for readmission weeks ago, so why can’t I register? Please view your ConnectCarolina Student Center:

• There may be a hold on your account, or we may need additional information to make a decision. Your Admissions To-Do List will show any materials or information you still need to submit.

• Once a decision has been reached on your application, you must formally accept or decline the offer of admission on your Student Center before you will have access to course registration.

Why can’t I log into my ConnectCarolina account? If you are having any technical issues with ConnectCarolina, please contact the IT Help Desk at (919) 962-HELP.

When should I complete a summer school visitor application or a Part-Time Classroom Studies application? Never. If at any point you were enrolled at UNC as a full-time student, you should complete a readmission application.

I’m applying online and my major is no longer listed. What should I do? Majors that require pre-requisites within our professional schools are not listed on the online application; choose another major and note your actual major in the free-response section of the application.

I want to attend both Summer Session I and II and continue into the fall, do I need to complete an application for each term? No, complete one application for the Summer Session I and if you are eligible or become eligible for the fall, you will be granted access to fall registration as well.

I’ve been approved to return to campus as a non-traditional readmit, why can’t I register for classes? If Academic Advising has approved you for readmission as a non-traditional student, you must still apply for readmission.
