Who cares? Crisp green fruit, silky spices and an impressive exotic length.

THIERRY GERMAIN, DOMAINE ROCHES NEUVES, L’INSOLITE CHENIN, LOIRE 2013 13% (bio) Extraordinary balance and clarity from this star of the Loire; we love his wines so much we have two on the list. This is subtly aromatic with piercing but pleasing acidity and is astonishingly good value.
