Organizers: UNESCO-Bioethics Unit of SGT University Objective of the programme: Extension Lecture on “Organ Donation Awareness” Speaker: 1) Dr Vikas Aggarwal, Senior Consultant, Urology and Renal Transplant, VPS Rockland Hospital, Manesar. Audience : The programme was intended to be attended by Faculty members, PG Students, Interns and UG students of faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dental Sciences, Nursing. Brief Report of the programme: Today, the 11th August 2017 was indeed a Red Letter Day for SGT University as a Guest Lecture was organised on a very sensitive and crucial subject "Organ Donation Awareness". The Talk was delivered by Dr. Vikas Aggarwal, Senior Consultant & Head Urology and Renal transplant at VPS ROCKLAND HOSPITAL, Manesar. Dr. Aggarwal is a Renowned name in the field of Renal Transplants in NCR .The program was organised under the aegis of UNESCO- Bioethics Unit of SGT University which was established on 30th June 2017 , affiliated to UNESCO Chair in Bioethics, Haifa, Israel, under the leadership of unit Head Dr. T.D Dogra . The main aim of The Bioethics Unit is to spread the awareness of Ethics among Medical Students and Faculty through various programs, talks and curriculum modifications. The program was organised under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Sham Lal Singla, Pro Chancellor, SGT University. Bioethics Unit welcomed Dr. Vikas Aggarwal with a sapling which was followed by welcome address by Dr. Singla. Dr. Aggarwal 's talk was indeed very touching and sensitive. It reminded that after all , we all are mortals and humans , so why not Be Human , donate our organs and Have a Life after Death.
