Project Management Institute (PMI) is the world's leading not-for-profit professional membership association for the

of PMI established to serve the project management community in Karnataka

professional development. PMIBC Engineering & Construction (E&C) Forum
is a focused interest group of PMI Bangalore India Chapter that aims to bring
about advancements in the Engineering & Construction industry through
advocacy of project management standards and best practices.
This Forum, one of its kind in India, shall provide a platform for the
professionals to benefit not only from the immense knowledge base that PMI
offers, but also by providing opportunities to network, collaborate and share
best practices in the E&C industry. Construction projects involve a diverse set
of Project Stakeholders that includes Owners/Developers, Architects, Design & Engineering Professionals, Specialist
Consultants, Investors/Financial Institutions, Government Bodies, Corporates, Project & Property Management
Consultants, Builders, Suppliers, Contractors and Academicians. E&C Forum aspires to be a nurturing ground for all
construction professionals aiming to achieve Excellence through Project Management.

PMIBC E&C Forum is proud to announce its first Project Management Industry Symposium for the Engineering &
Construction Industry. The Chapter has over 10 years of experience conducting large project management
conferences that project professionals from all industries look forward to
attend. The 2015 National Conference was attended by over 1,100
delegates. These conferences are widely appreciated for appropriate
content and professional delivery of the event.
The value of successful projects for stakeholders far outweigh the costs of
design, construction and operations. Completing Construction projects on
time, to the budget and quality is the need of the hour in our country.
There is a pressing need for advancing the knowledge, skills and
competency among the project management professionals in the
industry to achieve India's full potential. Improving productivity, innovation in management, delivering better value
on investments, adopting newer technologies for successful project delivery, attracting talent and enhancing project
management competency are some of the key challenges the industry is facing.
