Thank You & God Bless!

St. Vincent de Paul Society

Today, as we celebrate the Easter, we are challenged to experience the power of

Jesus’ Resurrection in our own lives, as we make sacrifices to help bring new life to others.

Last month, your donations to our parish St. Vincent de Paul group allowed us to bring the mercy of Jesus into the hearts of those in need.

We assisted 32 families with food, 8 families with rent assistance, and 6 families with furniture needs. May the New Life continue to shine in You!

Dear People of Ss. Peter & Paul,

Alleluia!

Christ is Risen!

The Lord is Risen Indeed! Alleluia! Lent and Holy Week have finally brought us to the Greatest and Holiest day of the Christian Year: Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord!

Lee Strobel, author of “The Case for Christ,” includes the following in his book: “...If Jesus didn’t really rise from the dead, it doesn’t change anything. But, if He did rise from the dead, it changes everything.”

Strobel, then a reporter living and working in Chicago, spent more than two years digging for evidence to prove that the biblical narrative of Jesus’ resurrection was false.

At one point, frustrated and depressed because all

of the evidence he had gathered actually supported the truth of Christ’s resurrection, he was stunned when another worker in his office looked him in the eyes and asked “When is enough evidence, enough evidence?”

Confronted with that question — and with the results of his own investigative efforts, Strobel realized that “this changes everything.” From that moment, he embraced Christianity.

Thank you all again for your prayers and cards during my recovery time in Pulaski. I expect to be back in Green Bay this Sunday afternoon. I plan to return to parish duty on Easter Monday, April 2nd, with a Mass at St. Mary's at 7am, and on Easter Wednesday for a festive Mass at 8am, and Misa en Espaňol Wednesday evening at 6:30pm.

After that, it is my intention to resume my regular routine of 1st & 3rd Sundays at St, Mary of the Angels, and 2nd & 4th Sundays at Ss. Peter & Paul.

My heartfelt thanks to Fr. Dan Schuster for leading and celebrating the liturgies of Holy Week and the Easter Triduum, and to Tyler Reif for assisting as MC and handling various other details. Thanks also to all of our parish staff for helping Father to coordinate everything involved in these holy and wonderful celebrations.

My gratitude and blessings to our various ministries —Our Sacristan, Lectors, Servers, Choirs, Organists, Ushers, Greeters, Decorating Crew, Extraordinary Ministers, and all of our many dedicated volunteers who I know will again step up to help make Holy Week and Easter a most beautiful celebration of the wonders Our God has done for us!

Again: Please Remember to Pray the Divine Mercy Novena (https://www.ewtn.com/devotionals/mercy/novena.htm) beginning on Good Friday and ending on the Saturday after Easter Sunday. If you forgot to start on Good Friday, just “catch up” with the prayers and keep going from there! The feast of the The Divine Mercy will be celebrated on Sunday, April 8th.

Please know that you all have been — and continue always to be — in my prayers and sacrifices. I am eager to see everyone again, and to celebrate the rest of the FIFTY DAYS OF EASTER with you!

Remember to keep praying this week for the Church, for our parishes and families, and for our beloved country.

Jesus, I trust in You!

With Prayers, Love, & Gratitude, Fr. Tony

Padre Tony
