“”Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover””-Mark Twain

"YPY has not only gifted me with knowledge but also

with the lovable people which would take me a long

time to get it. I would describe YPY as the best

memory of my life”. Continuous 168 hours with all

these people sharing ideas and each moment was

more than awesome.

Asmita Moon YPY was more than listening to inspirational speakers, it was about realizing how they got inspired. YPY was more than exchanging cards, it was about building relationships. I joined ypy to get some collaborators on my project and I got that, but more importantly, I got friends who understood my vision behind the project. Thanks to TEAM YPY !

Pritesh Shrivastava YPY was a defining experience for me. I went into the journey with a lot

of fears and doubts in my mind regarding my career plans. Now that the yatra is over, I feel much more confident and energized. I have built strong bonds with my fellow yatris who I believe will stay with me for the rest of my life. My exposure to people from such diverse backgrounds has really broadened my horizons and I have learnt a lot both from my fellow

yatris as well as the role model and entrepreneurs who I interacted with.

When I was just

a girl with

dreams in my life

full of ambitions

to touch the

distant sky

I was clueless, I was simply lost

never knew how worthy I am

didn’t know how to get what I

really want

They say miracles happen

and so I found you

Yatra of Hope, a Journey of

Power

and I went with it

clueless of what held beyond

It was the phase I couldn’t

believe it was true

I was lost in heaven

full of wisdom and countless joy

hoping nobody to find me

I never wanted to look behind

Making lifelong friends was

never in the plan

but I shared my sorrows with

the strangers that I met

crazy as I was, there were more

around me

burning with passion

to build roads of innovation in

the monotonous society

For the first time in my life

I felt this where I belong

where people were listening to

me

and I not being judged

but appreciated for what I was

I returned with loads of

memories

friends that have now become

family

and new pair of wings with

which I soar high

there is no holding back for me

Thanks to Yatra, you have simply

changed my Life!

Sudarshan Reddy

“The Yatra gives us in return is who you are and what

you want to be, that is it helps us to know more

about self identity. Though we may not get clear

conclusion we would at least start thinking that for

what we’re made ?

About seven months ago, when I filled in the application for the Yuva Prerna Yatra 2015, I barely realized that it was going to be one of the best things I ever did. The Yatra not only inspired me to do more with my life but gave me connections that I could never make otherwise. It was a platform where I connected to people from all around the world, with ages ranging from 19 to 30 - each adding the flavor and wisdom of a

different phase of life to the group. This diversity nurtured and facilitated great peer to peer learning. The Yatra for many champs, including me, was a process of turning a budding idea into a full-fledged business plan and finding potential co-founders to the enterprises we intend to set up. Each morning when I wake up, this sense of responsibility that the Yatra has instilled in me, fills me with vigour and zest

for life. It has been close to 80 days now, since I returned from YPY. But even today, when I close my eyes all that I can see is the serene hills, all I can hear is the gushing of the river Ganges and all I can think of is that spark in the eyes of those little children I met, when they spoke to me about their dreams. YPY 2015 has given me the most wonderful 7 days of my life!

The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single bus." While recalling

the past seven days of the yatra seems like looking a

mirror except for the fact that the person I knew

before the yatra and after are entirely different. There

was a vision that the organisers shared of

empowering of the youth through enterprise. A week

in an Institute carried out on a bus where the learning

is through experimentation and exploration and

unlike our education system it was fully practical. This journey also

developed a sense of teamwork, calculated risk taking and leadership

that is crucial in facing all the challenges in life.

A student vacillates between different thoughts

he/she has, as what to pursue, or the idea one has, is

it sustainable, feasible and/or profitable and the Yuva

Prerna Yatra provided us with the prospect of sharing

them with others and veritably discuss all its aspects.

It gave me a chance to explore not only the places of

scenic beauty, where the nature’s marvel renders one

speechless, but also gave me the path to explore

myself. This journey was more than a revelation for

me, and I would like to recommend it to every student and individual to

take chances and go for it.

Ilya (Russia)

“The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single bus." I met lots of

role models of India who are the real heroes of India. I

was really inspired by this journey and found new

friends in all states of India in just 7 days. Yatra team

was really supportive for each individuals. I never

forget in my life that two days I have spent on the bank

of holy Ganga River with 100 best youth of world. This

journey has given me great friends and mentors that I would cherish for

my entire life.

Snehal Chauhaun

YPY was one of the most awesome and learning

experience of my life. I met the budding

entrepreneurs from various fields, came to know

about the unsung heroes of Himalayas and most

importantly explored the unexplored. Thanks a lot to

YPY 2015 Team for giving me a chance to be a champ.

Once a CHAMP, always a CHAMPION.

Life is not only just time pass do something to heart

yourself. It’s truly said: Travel is more than the long

way; “it is a change for self to think deep and

permanent, in the ideas of in your life change”.

There was a vision that the organisers shared of

empowering of the youth through enterprise. On

personal level it felt that a week in an Institute

carried out on a bus where the learning is through experimentation and

exploration and unlike our education system it was fully practical.

Yuva Prerna Yatra was one of the first experiences in my life towards

journey of enterprise development. And I would say,

totally worth having one such opportunity in my life.

Visiting fields where people are working for actual

issues was one big inspiration. More than anything

for me, being with 99 other candidates with similar

mind set gave me a great set of ecosystem for my

entire life. Will love to have another such opportunity

time and again in my life to keep me going and giving meaning to my life.

Vaibhav Goel

Yuva Prerna Yatra was the best experience of my life.

It gave me a platform to open up myself and get my

basic doubts cleared. I got a chance to meet 100 odd

people from different parts of the world and

understand their way of thinking. In simple worlds

Yatra gave me some very good friends and enough

motivation to do something great in life.

I heard about it through yourstory.com, and luckily I’m in the top 100.

Before Yatra, I had lot of ideas and questions

regarding establishing a start up in my mind? During

Yatra I met innovative/creative minds and shared

our ideas with each-others as well as with YPY team

members. I learnt how to do work in better way and

what is the best way to implement our idea? What

are the pros and cons to keep on mind before

starting start up? It was a great learning for me.

Vishakha Rajeev kakkar

The yatra was spellbound experience for me. I from

a small town named Kurukshetra in Haryana. The

yatra taught me that you need not to born in big

cities to dream big and do big. Take your step, don’t

think of consequences and be the change maker. I

am now more confident and can take stands for

things.

Shawarni Khanal (Nepal)

I’d and still have a passion to bring out the change,

a dream to travel and explore new places. Lightning

Lamp in the inaugural session and representing

Nepal with international participant was the best

part of the YPY2015. Different inspiring stories of

creating the long term sustainable change from

different visionaries was really very inspiring.

Taslima Tanvira Tui (Bangladesh)

Early YPY15, I was worried, tensed, curious, excited! But the hospitality

of the team, removed all my anxiety. I went there

with a dream to learn. Yes, my dream became true.

Before I wanted to do something in tourism sector.

But, after I return back from YPY, I decided to make

a well combination with tourism, farming &

education. It was impossible for me to discover

places, meet role models, gather their experiences,

knowledge & encouragement alone. These seven

days experiences would be my life time experience. YPY is the platform

where I discovered myself and a new window opened in my life.

The YPY experience was enlightening for me at so

many levels. Each individual’s invaluable suggestions

and opinions over my work helped me shape my idea

in my country. With a once in a lifetime opportunity of

getting to experience the natural beauty of

Uttarakhand, I got to know about various sustainable

models that have been created in the rural belts of the state which have

benefited the local people at such a large scale.
