LETTER FROM THE HEADMASTER

Dear Friends of Trinity-Pawling,

OUR 101ST YEAR WAS TRULY ONE OF OUR BEST: our athletic teams won championships and earned outstanding records; the college list was the most impressive in decades; thespians and singers performed admirably; the headmaster’s list has never been longer; and donors provided our school with more financial support in one year than ever before. A tradition of excellence continues, and undoubtedly none of this would have been possible without the support of our alumni, parents, and friends who are listed on the following pages.

At Trinity-Pawling we are committed to encouraging all those who live and learn here to act with integrity and responsibility. To carry the vision of our school forward, it is our obligation to build upon that foundation. The push to conserve natural resources and become “green” is a global initiative. Environmental sustainability is one of the most powerful issues facing us today, and we must provide our students with an education that is relevant to the world they will enter when they graduate. This is our annual report of giving presented in a new way. By presenting this report online we are not only saving natural resources, we are making better use of the valuable resources given to us by our generous community of donors. And, we are doing the right thing.

Following environmentally sustainable practices provides the opportunity to educate students about the world around them. Our new dining room, Scully Hall, will receive Silver LEED certification, indicating the attention paid in the design and construction to environmental issues. By striving to make our school “greener” and teaching the boys about the responsibility associated with doing so, we will improve upon our already remarkable achievements, and continue confidently into the 21st century committed to molding good citizens and tomorrow’s leaders.

I am grateful for all the donors who support our mission. Thank you for all you do. With your continued support we will only get better at what we do best—educating boys.

Sincerely,

Archibald A. Smith III

GIFTS TO SPECIAL FUNDS

TRIBUTE GIFTS

A Tribute Gift can be a meaningful way to honor or memorialize a special individual-family member, friend, teacher, or colleague-who has made a difference in your life. It is also a way to share and extend your celebration of a milestone life event.

Honor a talented teacher or the memory of a deceased classmate or friend with a gift to the Annual Fund that will support the important work that goes on at Trinity-Pawling day in and day out.

Celebrate an important class reunion by considering a will bequest as a way of providing gift revenue to our school for the future.

Establish a named endowed scholarship fund or a named faculty chair and provide a lasting legacy and long term support for Trinity-Pawling’s people and programs.

Celebrate people and milestones in your life by making a Tribute Gift to Trinity-Pawling School.

Honor a son’s graduation or the birth of a child with a contribution to T-P’s General Scholarship Fund and help extend our school’s benefits to others.

Create a permanent tribute to an individual or family with a gift that strengthens our endowment and is recognized by the naming of a room, courtyard, building, or other campus facility.

The possibilities and the opportunities are numerous.

For more information about how to make a tribute gift, contact:John L. Thorne, Director of DevelopmentTrinity-Pawling School700 Route 22, Pawling, NY 12564(845) [email protected]
