MISSION STATEMENTS:
GREATER STATESVILLE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION / STATESVILLE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
To s mulate and promote the industrial and commercial development of the
City of Statesville and the Town of Troutman, North Carolina, and the
surrounding area by providing services and assistance of a nature and kind
calculated to encourage and facilitate the loca ng, establishing, building,
opera ng, maintaining and expanding of new and exis ng businesses and
industries in the Statesville‐Troutman community and area.
GREATER STATESVILLE AREA COMMITTEE OF 100
The Commi ee of 100 is a non‐profit corpora on, made up of individual and
corporate ci zens who, through private dona ons, help to fund the marke ng
efforts of the greater Statesville area. Its purpose is to raise the necessary
funds that will enhance the research and marke ng materials on the greater
Statesville area that are needed for presenta ons, reports, prospect needs,
videos, etc. for industrial development recruitment for the Greater Statesville
Development Corpora on.

2015 EXISTING INDUSTRY RECAP Over the course of the year: VISITS 171 visits were made to companies in the Statesville Region, resulting in 122 cases which were handled internally or in cooperation with our partners. CASES The most common types of cases handled in 2015 were assistance with Marketing and Workforce Development issues, followed by Legal, Utility and Real Estate issues. PROJECTS, JOBS AND INVESTMENT In 2015, we identified and assisted with six new expansion projects resulting in one announcement totaling $2.3 million in new capital investment and 20 new primary jobs. WORKSHOPS Our corporate training programming continued in 2015 with a series of workshops targeting small businesses and online marketing, Creating Your own Weebly Website; Email Marketing with MailChimp and Creating Customer Surveys with SurveyMonkey. TEACHING FOR JOBS In conjunction with the Statesville Chamber, Mitchell Community College, Iredell-Statesville Schools and Centralina Workforce Development, we co-sponsored 2 Teaching For Jobs events in 2015.
