Learn more about the European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS): www.epns.info Welcome to EPNS 2013 in Brussels, 25-28 September 2013 go to http://www.epns2013.be/ On behalf of the Board of the EPNS, a warm welcome to the 10th biennial meeting of our Society, this time in Brussels, the Capital of Europe ! I am convinced that the local organizing committee, together with the EPNS scientific committee will offer you the best of the best at this meeting. The program topics are all clinically relevant for the practicing paediatric neurologist, and at the same time the newest neuro-scientific methods for diagnosis and treatment will be focused on. For the first time, there will be a main session on the "Future of Paediatric Neurology", where we will predict what will become important for paediatric neurologists in the next years to come. Also for the first time, the EPNS organizes the "Academy of Paediatric Neurology". The Academy will give an scientific and clinical update on one specific topic in paediatric neurology and will allow the sometimes overspecialized paediatric neurologist to be kept informed about one topic outside his daily scope. This time, the theme is childhood stroke. The sunrise sessions will be very educational and can be considered as teaching sessions for our younger colleagues. All efforts have been made to attract young paediatric neurologists and paediatric neurologists in training. Please inform your trainees about our meeting and more importantly support their participation and help them to submit an abstract! At this time, I already want to thank the sponsors of this meeting. Most of the major interested companies decided to organize a scientific satellite symposium on a specific new topic in the field of paediatric neurology. This also illustrates the attractiveness of the EPNS biennial meetings. It is indeed the only European forum where about 1000 paediatric neurologists will get together, discuss science and enjoy Brussels, Bruges and Belgium. So, in summary, there is no need to hesitate: join us for this 10th EPNS meeting, submit your abstracts, and support your trainees and younger colleagues to come and benefit from EPNS2013 in Brussels! And finally, click on the membership tab above to stay informed about our new and low 2013 membership fees to understand that EPNS membership offers substantial reductions not only for the Brussels meeting, but also for our ongoing training courses . On behalf of the Board of the EPNS, a warm welcome to the 10th biennial meeting of our Society, this time in Brussels, the Capital of Europe !

The Academy will

give an scientific and clinical update on one specific topic in paediatric neurology and will allow the sometimes overspecialized paediatric neurologist to be kept informed about one topic outside his daily scope.

And finally, click on the membership tab above to stay informed about our new and low 2013 membership fees to understand that EPNS membership offers substantial reductions not only for the Brussels meeting, but also for our ongoing training courses.
