If you know someone who is in need of prayer but whose name is not listed, it may be that they have asked not to be included in the printed bulletin. Please remember them in your personal prayers. Flowers on the altar this last weekend in July are sponsored in loving memory of Wanda Smalley by the Smalley Family; and by Don & Bettie Miller in gratitude for Gods many blessings.
Everyone is invited to Fellowship Hour for coffee and rolls between
services each Sunday in the Fellowship Hall.
PLEASE CONTACT THE CHURCH OFFICE if you or someone you know is hospitalized and would enjoy a visit. Our church staff and hospital visiting volunteers would be happy to greet, see, and pray with you.

excited when we saw that final total of what
we were able to give to Bright Horizons and
fulfilling our churchs mission: Loving God . . . Loving People . . .
Reaching Out!
We appreciated your help from those that
donated items and any help we received in

Thank you so much for getting me to Watertown, NY! At $2 a mile, I still have a long way to go to get to the St. Swithuns Boarding School for Girls in
Winchester, UK. If you want to help get me to England, you can put your contribution in the offering plate. Make checks payable to St. Johns and put for Aline in the memo line. Keep checking the bulletin to see how far Ive travelled.

Thank you to everyone who provided food and helped work at the Harold Ahlmann and Kevin Starkey funerals. We couldn't do it without you! Carol Timperley
Equipment and food donations have come
in strong -- THANK YOU!
We still need 21 lbs. of
hamburger and ingredients for
Mountaintop Treats.
Jolene will start setting up backdrops and posters on
July 22nd. She could
certainly use tall (and not so tall, even
vertically challenged) people and
ladders to help tape! There will be an ice tunnel to construct in the
downstairs hallway. All the materials are
here -- just needs helpers! Jolene will be at church in the evenings to set up. Call 402-992-1328 to help. Training for crew
leaders is set for July 30th at 6:30 PM in the Community Room. If crew leaders
cannot attend, a training DVD is also available.
Come check out St. John's August 22-23 during our
Open House Weekend! Come for worship Saturday(5pm)
or Sunday (8:30 & 11 am) and learn about the variety of ministries that happen through our congregation. Saturday evening worship will be followed by a fellowship meal. On Sunday morning between worship
services, Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministry - Norfolk will host donuts & coffee. Visit with a variety of groups
during a ministry showcase. Come on your own, or bring friends & family. It's an
Open House Weekend at St. John's!
