Archaic Bridge environmental design4

Cerritos Regional Park is a family-friendly location that is surrounded by a residential area. It consists several types of recreation, such as outdoors gym equipment, basketball court, swimming pool, a trail around the pond area, and ect. The project introduces a new installment of a bridge in the northeast side of the park, where there is a fountain and waterfall nearby. Archaic Bridge brings attention to the visitors about the most primitive form of the passageway created by Mother Nature. The contour of the bridge takes shape of a tree trunk. As the visitor approaches the bridge, he/she can notice the subtle curvature that leads out to root forms on both ends. Neutral values are chosen for the bridge so that the installation can harmonize with the environment of the given destination. Stone and wood are the primary materials used to give variety in texture, creating visual diversity.

The display is primarily exhibited in an indoors setting, such as a shopping mall or an airport terminal.

About 33,000 - 38,000 students attend CSULB per semester. In Fall 2015, the freshmen class accounted for roughly 78% of the total number of attendees. Events such as home games, workshops, lecture series, plays are frequently held within the campus. Moreover, there are a number of outside guests that come to CSULB to participate in various sessions for body-building workout, rehabilitation, and ect.
