• Aug 1991 - ASA-FM tasked MDW with leveraging total NCR transient population– Insufficient government quarters– Lodging portion of per diem typically 50% higher than government quarters

• Oct 1999 – CFSC agreement with AF to use Program• Sept 00 – Army Audit Agency

– Reported significant savings under the program– Recommended expansion

• Aug 02 - Business Initiatives Council (BIC)– Army named Executive Agent for Commercial Lodging Management (CLM)

• LSP expanded to other services– Military Training Service Support (MTSS)

• LSP supports lodging overflow.– LSP now has 65 contracts in 21 areas nation wide, with an average savings of

16% below per Diem. • Annual savings estimated at $2M
