Romes GeographyGeography of Rome is characterized by the Seven Hills and The Tiber River. Rome city situated on the eastern banks of river Tiber has a geographical position of 41 54' N and 12 29' E. Rome lies to the west of the Apennine Mountains that forms the backbone of peninsular Italy.The Tiber River flows from the Apennine Mountains south-westwards to the Tyrrhenian Sea after passing by Rome. This river of length 405 km has played a significant role in shaping Rome's history and culture.

Romes acheivementsThe Romans achieved world fame with their incredible army. It defeated almost everybody. The twelve tables of law was a great institution of Rome. Rome built the coliseum to fight in an arena.
Romes political systemIt forms a republic to rule the Ancient Rome. It had 2 consuls, senators, Plebeians, women and slaves. The consuls were chosen by the Rome citizens. They needed to get permission from other consuls. The senator are from very rich and powerful families. They are the full-time policians in the Republic of Rome. The Plebeians are the poorer citizens. They are mostly farmers, merchants and craftsmen. Through they have the right to vote, they are always controlled by the nobles. The lowest class in the society of Ancient Rome are the women and the slaves. They don't have any rights. They don't have any freedom and they are not allow to vote.Rome's innovative republican government provided the basis for which much of the world now operates its political systems.
Romes economicsMost people in the Roman world were farmers. Some of the people who worked on farms were slaves, but most of them were free. They grew wheat and barley and olives and grapes and apples, onions and celery. Mostly they sold what they grew in markets in the towns, and bought food in the market to eat, as most farmers do today. And they paid taxes, as farmers do today. Roman farmers paid their taxes partly in money and partly in food.
Romes social structurePlebeians were like slaves but they were farmers.Consuls were the most important people.
