Operasi Pendaratan yang sukses harus diawali dengan suatu perencanaan

operasi yang dirancang untuk melumpuhkan pertahanan musuh. Operasi ini harus

diikuti segera dengan pembentukan sebuah kekuatan di wilayah musuh dan konsolidasi

beachheads dalam waktu yang sesingkat mungkin. Setiap Operasi pada skala tersebut

harus mempertimbangkan keadaan cuaca agar Operasi Pendaratan dapat terlaksana

dengan efisiensi dengan memaksimalkan kemampuan serta meminimalkan kerugian

personil dan materiil.

Urutan cuaca ideal untuk maksimum keuntungan strategis dan taktis untuk

kekuatan gabungan dapat diringkas sebagai berikut:
