The SVT. . . that unmistakable

Ampeg sound. Since the late

Sixties bass players have recognized

Super Vacuum Tube technology, or SVT,

as the reference point of tone by which

all other bass amplifiers are compared.

The SVT-810E classic enclosure with its

infinite baffle design has been the standard

bass cabinet on stages since introduced in 1969.

The physics of the cabinet design coupled with the

10” drivers give the 810E that unique sound that bass

players around the world have come to expect from their rig.

TRACTRIX wave-guide coaxial speakers add a high frequency driver to the SVT-810HPC while maintaining the integrity of the Classic SVT-810E infinite baffle design.

Heavy duty variable-speed fans keep the power sections cool. The SVT-CL and AV heads feature a user-biasing control that allows you to retube your amplifier and ensure optimal tone and power from your head.

of the original SVT head, but with modern enhancements like

a five-position mid frequency selector, input gain, master

volume, and tube protection circuitry. By using six 6550

power tubes and original transformer technology,

Ampeg creates the classic tone of the Sixties and

Seventies that others can only try to emulate.

The V4BH features the exact same all-tube preamp as the CL and AV

models, but uses a quartet of 6L6 tubes for its output. It also

features a power amp presence boost switch making it a great

head for cabinets with horns. The SVT-350H uses solid-state

MOSFET technology delivering the most tube-like feel of

anything in its class. The optocoupler limiter circuit

prevents power amp distortion, no matter

how loudly you play.

Classic Series Enclosures have become the sonic reference point for

When Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey were looking for

full-range enclosures, they came to Ampeg. They wanted

a true hi-fidelity tone with lots of power handling capability.

The BXT enclosures feature American-made custom cast-frame

drivers, and 1” compression drivers for the horns. The crossover

was designed for Victor and Steve to smoothly reproduce

the mids and highs for a focused, naturally-scooped tone.

Front shelf ports produce extended low frequencies

eliminating the need for additional cabinets.

The BXT enclosures include both 1/4” and

Neutrik Speakon® connectors, and employ

the same high frequency protection

found on the Classic and

Pro Series cabinets.

The new BSE-115 is Ampeg’s most affordable enclosure,

yet has all the premium American made components and

features of other Ampeg enclosures. The BSE-410HS has

a slant top for focused monitor-style dispersion of mids

Lighten-Up. The PortaBass Series of products is

engineered for the active modern bass player that values portability as

well as excellent tone. PortaBass heads feature our patented Micro-Dynamic

Technology (MDT) power amp circuitry. This technology eliminates bulky heat

sinks and large fans because it is 95% efficient. The PB-250 pushes 250 watts and

weighs only 14 pounds. The PB-800 delivers up to 800 watts RMS, can accommodate two

different instruments at the same time, and weighs only 20 pounds. These heads deliver a

PortaBass enclosures employ a new speaker using Neodymium magnet structures. Neodymium is hyper-magnetic and extremely powerful, yet is almost weightless compared to traditional ceramic magnet designs.

A true 1” compression driver is used to reproduce high frequencies accurately, no matter which bass you are using.

The variable L-pad controls the high frequency volume so you can fine tune the “breathing” range of your sound.
