The Good News

Leafs Fan Dies! Anita Cupp was found dead at 9:30 Thursday, May-

07-15 age 48 years and 5 days. Cause of death is

unknown but the best guess is that being a fan of

the Toronto Maple Leafs is very slow, and realized

finally that the Leafs did not make the playoffs and

that the Habs have the most Stanley Cups in all the

NHL “could not take it” and simultaneously died.

No one was upset and the funeral is not happening,

even the house is going to simply be left where it is

and destroyed with Anita in it, having no family members to moor because he was

rejected for his team liking. All his life Cupp wanted to have a Leafs playoff game

dedicated to him (like in memory or something) but because it never happened his wish

never came true. Being as old as Toronto’s Stanley Cup he will, like their cup no longer

exist.

Damien Ryan Parlor

Born: August. 1, 1974

Died: September. 27, 1984 ( age 10 )

Diagnosed with lung cancer in 1981, (age 7) lived for 3 more years then passed away.

Damien or Damie, was a boy who was so dearly loved by his mother, April Mia Parlor, and father, Jack

Connor Parlor.

He lived in a small home, on Dunn street, Niagara Falls. He was always dreaming of becoming a known

astronaut, because science was by far his favourite, and best subject.

But during January of 1981 he was constantly getting chest pain, and coughing. So his mother and father

scheduled a doctor’s appointment for him, and the doctor gave a diagnosis with the help of his

symptomatic sicknesses, of lung cancer.

Shortly before he passed away, the morning of September 14, 1984, Damien wanted one last wish

before he left this world, and that was to be outside with the bees and the flowers. So he left the

hospital for that day to have some freedom.

Sadly, the afternoon of September. 27, 1984, Damien’s heart beat was lower than normal, and his

symptoms were stronger, he died that day in his hospital room with his mother and father right by his

side.

Damien Ryan Parlor August 1st, 1974 – September 27th, 1984

(Died at the age of 10)

A boy with dreams…

Damien Ryan Parlor, a 10 year old hyperactive and friendly child had unfortunately

passed away due to being hit by a drunk driver on the road in Orlando, Florida. This left a lot of

pain, torture and agony to tons of family members and friends.

Damien was born in Orlando, Florida and was a massive soccer fan. He loved to play

soccer and watch soccer on the television. He also loved to draw many pictures. He started

playing soccer at the age of 5 and he fell in love with the sport instantly. After attending school,

which was The Orlando Elementary School, he would quickly get home to get a soccer ball and

run outside so he could play soccer with his friends. He also loved to draw many different things

such as cars, nature and his favourite food, French fries.

When he grew up, he wanted to be a doctor so he could help others and cure the sick

patients. He had a little first-aid kit where he would pretend to cure his “sick patients” which

were his toys.

He was a caring and loving boy who had the dream of helping others. Even the teachers

at The Orlando Elementary School had painted a huge picture, in honor of Damien. He will be

remembered in everyone’s thoughts.

She loved to sing, dance and help those in need. Her selfless devotion

to aid others was remarkable. Unfortunately, on November 5 1909,

Boy Killed by Drunk Driver, Family Gets $3.1 Million

On September 27, 1984, young Damien Ryan Parlor, nicknamed

“Damie” by his friends and family, was hit and killed by a drunk driver.

Damien was in a rented motorhome with his family 8 when a vehicle

with an intoxicated driver struck the RV and killed him. Now, the seven

other members of the family grieve for him, as he was only a young

boy. “He was such a sweet boy,” said his mother. “He was the kind of

kid who could pet bees.” After a lengthy court battle with an insurance

company, the family managed to get a whopping $3.1 million to cover

damages. “I’ve dreamed of being a wealthy man my whole life, but

now, money doesn’t mean anything to me anymore,” said Damien’s

father. “We will never be able to buy back Damie’s cheerful smile or

laugh.” Despite the family receiving the large sum of cash, there are

still more legal issues to sort out, as many lawyers do not believe that

they are entitled to such a great deal of money. He will be buried on

October 3rd, and anybody who wished to attend to his funeral is

welcome to come.

His tombstone reads:

Percy Delandes First class saloon steward aboard the Titanic’s maiden voyage

Percy Delandes was the first class saloon steward for the Titanic on its maiden and final

voyage. He died April 15 1912 at the age of 30 years old when the Titanic had sank, living from 1882-

1912. He lived in Manhattan, New York. He was not married, emigrated to the U.S in 1905 from

England where both his parents were born. Percy Delandes was a butler working for Charles

Newman and was hired to work on the Titanic. Before he was hired by Charles Newman Percy

worked as a mechanic to help construct the titanic and provide the layout for the kitchen area. He

gave many different recommendations to the constructors that were working on the titanic so that

the kitchen would be the most efficient as it could be. Percy Delandes lived a very happy and

nomad life, enjoying what he could where he could when he could; and he spent the rest of the time

working very hard so that when he did have the time he also had the money. May he always be

remembered

Percy Stainer Delandes 1874 -April 1, 1912

Percival ‘Percy’ Stainer Delandes, the beloved husband of Elizabeth Myra Jones and first class steward upon the Titanic died a valiant demise on

April 15 between 11:40 p.m. and 2:20 a.m.

Percy perished while saving many lives as he realised that many were many people drowning on the lower decks. He gallantly speed towards the lower decks and swam through the deathly cold water to save those who were drowning in the

frigid cold.

By rescuing many lives and sacrificing himself for those who were young, he will be remembered as a valued hero. We will never forget the brave Percy

Delandes.

Percy Delandes Passenger on the Titanic

Died April 15th 1812

First class TITANIC passenger, Percy Delandes, died in the sinking of the TITANIC on April

15th 1912.

Percy Delandes was the loving son of Theodore Philip Delandes and Clara

Chamberlain. And loving brother of Ada Matilda. He married to Elizabeth Myra Jones.

Delandes grew up in the country side of England. Where his mom and dad

owned a farm. There were not a lot of education options where he grew up.

Percy was a great friend and his family could always count on him.

Percy Delandes and his wife raised 5 children, 3 girls and 2 boys. Percy wanted

to give his children the life he never had and an education other kids didn’t get.

Percy Delandes left his wife and 5 kids temporarily while he went to pursue his

dream of teacher’s college. Riding first class on the TITANIC, Percy had used what little

money his family had been saving up. Only 11 days later, Percy Delandes was no

longer on earth, but in a better safer place called heaven.

Man dies after the sinking of the Titanic By: Justin Thibault

Percival Stainer Deslandes was assigned to be a first class saloon steward aboard the Titanic on

April 4th 1912. He was serving a young couple that were extremely over weight and naughty

when the Titanic hit the iceberg. The couple fell over and their knives pierced Percival and their

corkscrews went up in the air and into his mouth. Then the woman threw her purse in the air,

everything flew out of it and went over Percival’s head. Percival later died by suffocation on

April 15th 1912 on the Titanic. His body was later recovered by the Mackay-Bennett and he was

buried at Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax, Nova Scotia. We also found a document that was

created by cause of death and apparel.

OUR DARLING LITTLE

DAUGHTER

VIOLET MAY

WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE

5th NOVEMBER 1909

AGED 7 YEARS, 11 MONTHS

HER HANDS

WERE CLASPED UPON HER BREASTS,

WE KISSED HER LOVING BROW,

AND IN OUR ACHING HEARTS WE K(Redacted)

WE HAVE NO VIOLET NOW.

I have looked through all Carleton Library Databases and she is not one of the dead mentioned

in the article. By looking at the articles I saw that no one else died on that day that I know of

and nothing bad happened that day, it was just a normal day. Using what the gravestone told

me, I figured out that she was born on Thursday December 5th 1901 and died Friday November

5th 1909. The name Violet May later became an English 6-piece rock act in 2009. No images of

Violets May’s Gravestone are anywhere on the internet. Because no other images have been

found I have not been able to find the last word in sentence 3 of the poem all I can see is a “K”

and possibly an “I” next to it but the rest is unknown. If you search the name Violet May I have

found there is a Instagram Account with the name Violet may and a gravestone as a picture.

Could Violet May be alive or did someone set that account up for her.

Violet may

Died at the age of 7

1902-1909

Violet May daughter of and Mr. Edward May and Mrs. Ruth May died last week on

November 5, 1909 due to the measles. Their daughter was suffering from a bad case of

measles leading to her passing away. At the beginning she had a high fever and was always

tired. Her family is devastated and is wishing that they should have done something sooner.

The descended was seven years of age and before violet was sick she was always

helping out at home and was going to the nearby school. Her friends cared a lot about her

and were always getting her to smile, even in her last days.

Her older brothers and younger sisters are having the hardest time dealing with this

situation. They all loved her very much and even if they fought sometimes, it always ended

with them hugging and loving one another.

The family is planning to hold a funeral for their beloved daughter on November 11,

1909. The May’s are inviting mostly family and friends. The parents were hoping that she

would have her whole life ahead of her and that she would then die as an old lady. The

father Mr. Edward May states that she will be welcomed to haven with open arms.
