Our GoalsWe help students to explore and develop their true potential by:

• Assisting them in their personal development to acquire leadership competence by taking on leadership positions, tasks and responsibilities in the Local Committee, for events or conferences

• Giving them the possibility to go on an internship abroad in different professional fields

• Providing members with a global learning environment.

AIESEC Zurich is composed like an international company. Seven dynamic teams run the organization with different responsibilities from Human Resources to External Relations and Finances.

Having the opportunity to become a leader to one of these teams gives our members not only the possibility to develop their leadership skills, but also to implement their own ideas and to get their first work experience besides university.

What is AIESEC?AIESEC is a global, independent, non-political and non-profit organization run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education.

Our members are interested in world issues, leadership and management.

How do we reach our goals?

Our primary products such as Exchange and Career Days provide our members with a network of renowned international business partners.

As AIESEC is an international organization our members meet other members from Switzerland and all over the world to share experiences and build up a personal international network.

The Team Memeber (TM) Programme provides a practical learning and development experience to a young person, through being part of a team and having responsibilities towards improving AIESEC performance and the delivery of its experiences. A TM Programme experience is between 8 weeks and 18 months.

Simple: You can be part of a team, learn, meet a lot of people, attend trainings and workshops, join conferences, organize projects and support the organization.

The Team Leader (TL) Programme: provides a practical learning and development experience to a young person, through leading a team and having responsibilities towards improving AIESEC performance and the delivery of its experi-ences. A TL Programme experience is between 8 weeks and 18 months.

Simple: Run a team, implement your own ideas and grow through responsibility.

Example of a Job Description:

Global Community Development Programme (GCDP): A GCDP exchange is an internship that is hosted by an AIESEC entity under a project or a non-AIESEC organization e.g. NGOs, organizations or schools in another country or territory. The primary purpose of the intern's job description must be the intern's cross cultural understanding, personal development and the opportunity to contribute to social change. A GCDP internship is between 6 weeks and 18 months.

Simple: You can work on the development of a project abroad and improve your cross-cultural understanding.

Popular countries:

India, Brazil, Malaysia, Cameroon, Philippines, Colombia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Indonesia, Turkey, Kenya, Uganda

Requirements:

• You have to be a student or a recent graduate

• You have to be less than 30 years old

Global Internship Programme (GIP): A GIP exchange is an internship hosted by a non-AIESEC organization in another country or territory. The primary purpose of the intern's job description must be the intern's professional development. A GIP internship is between 6 weeks and 18 months.

Simple: You can work in a company abroad and develop professionally.

Popular countries:

Germany, Hungary, Italy (for Italian speakers), The NetherlandsPakistan, Poland, South American (countries for Spanish speakers) Turkey

Requirements:

• You have to be a student or a recent graduate

• You have to be less than 30 years old

General details for GIP and GCDP

" •" Duration: 6 weeks – 18 months

" •" Salary: GIP have varying salaries, generally enough to cover living " " costs, GDP internships usually do not pay a fixed salary but provide " " food and home stay.

" •" Internship fee: Varies according to the type and duration of the " " internship (180 –650 CHF)

" •" Access to the database: 150 CHF (non refundable)

The fees include:

" •" Selection of the Exchange Participant according to the criteria set " " by AIESEC

" •" Training on how to use AIESEC’s online matching system

" •" Entrance of the Exchange Participant’s form into AIESEC’s online " " matching system

" •" 6 months access to AIESEC’s online matching system so the " " Exchange Participant can manage his or her own form

" •" Local and specific pre-departure preparation of the Exchange " " Participant

" •" Cultural preparation and re-integration at the accompanying "" " seminars

HOW TO APPLY Membership & Internship ProgrammeIf you apply for membership, you only need to fulfil the first three steps. In case you apply for the internship Programme, you need to go through the whole process.

1. Attend an info event (if possible)

2. Fill out the application form at www.aiesec.ch/apply Deadline for membership: (Internships are available over the whole year)

3. Attend an interview

4. Sign the Swiss EP contract, pay 150 CHF and create your own profile on our database (myaiesec.net)

5. Participate on an Exchange Preparation Seminar(XPS). This will prepare you for your experience abroad so that you can get the maximum out of it. Dates will be communicated.

6. Start research for your internship with the help of our Outgoing Exchange Coaches (OGX Coach)
