Integrated GPS & Hardware Independent
• The Panasonic Toughbook hardware solution has an Integrated GPS.
• The system is not tied to any hardware vendor it will work on any device using any flavour of Microsoft Windows ranging from XP to Windows 7.
• The e-Inspect system supports ANY GPS device that supports NMEA or Garmin protocols. These devices can be connected via USB, Firewire, Serial and Bluetooth connections.

Data is distributed via web service
The vectors and attribute information, background mapping, (MasterMap, Ortho Photos, Reference Layers etc) are all downloaded and uploaded to and from the database via our web service.
User enters their Data Requirements.
All required data is bundled and streamed to the users device in the form of a zip file
When the inspection is complete, the data can be uploaded back to the server for verification.

Format Independent
The system uses open standards in terms of usable formats.
We can define which formats we want to read. All the popular vector and raster formats are supported.
The download process, Requests the data from the server, all background mapping and associated reference data is determined from their spatial relationship.
The vector and raster data are extracted from the web service in the required format
All vector and raster data is bundled in a zip file and streamed to the users device.
