An amphitheater filled with the Land of Ooos every patron

grooves along with MARCELINE the Vampire Queen as shefinishes up a wicked bass solo. She ends to rousing applause.Marceline flashes a demon face then waves politely and walksoff stage, passing a gigantic sign: Princess BubblegumsTalent Show!1! PRINCESS BUBBLEGUM is the shows M.C.

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUMThank you, Marceline! Wow what aawesome night its been so far!Next up we have... uh.. C-B?

An anthropomorphized flat symbol (essentially a lowercaseb) walks out onto stage. His face is upturned, holding an air

of snobbery. This is SIR ANDREW C-FLAT. He speaks lyrically,in a spoken word styling.

C-FLATPretentious Princess Bubblegum,please pronounce it right.My name is Sir Andrew C-Flat andIve told you twice tonight.

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUMOh, C-Flat... but youre a B?

C-FLAT

I represent the FLAT symbol, forthe musically inclined.Your lack of depth is commonplace,I surely do not mind.

(stifles laugh)

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUMOh... well isnt C-flat and B-majorthe same thing? Perhaps B-Majorwould have been a more fitting namefor you- since you look like a band all... A lowercase b.

C-FLAT(sternly)

Twas my birth name- my fathersdoing.Now off the stage you wretchedhuman!

Bubblegum huffs off. C-Flat stares into the now quiet crowd.He breathes in deeply. Then very seriously:

C-FLAT (CONTD)I expected the world to adjust tothe distortion I have become.And yet love wrought one above mynameless prodigal son.

A sickly, phlegmy cough is heard in the distance.

C-FLAT (CONTD)As I stand in a bath of burningdreams.Trying to get some more steam backunder my wings...

People in the audience begin glancing at each other,confused. Murmurs become more audible until finally:

BOY BEARHey, Buddy! Ehhh, why doncha do a

dance or play music or something!It is a TALENT show ya know.

C-Flat is shaken out of his recitation.

C-FLATHow dare you speak in such brokendiction!Now all of you SHUTUP, sit there,and listen!

BOY BEARYou don goofed now!

The crowd begins booing uproariously.

C-FLATHowling at a concrete light...er... Twas the morning dew ofnight...

The crowd begins throwing tomatoes and various things at thestage. Someone chucks a FUZZY FRIEND.

FUZZY FRIEND

(as hes sailing past C-Flat)Your pretentiousness and inflatedego disgust meeeee!

JAKE, off to stage right, turns his arm into one of those old-timey canes they use to pull people off stage. He drags C-Flat off to the side just as someone throws an entireshopping cart filled with tomatoes.

INT. AMPHITHEATER BACKSTAGE - NIGHT

FINNE and Jake are working the curtain backstage.

C-FLATHands off me you elastic dog,

I was only half way through myfantastic song!

JAKESorry, dude. They were gettinruthless. It was hard to watch.

FINNEYeah, Land of Ooo is a notoriouslyrough crowd. Not many performerscome through here, so PrincessBubblegum throws these awesometalent shows.

JAKEPlus, todays like Christmas forthe Tomato people. They love a goodchuckin.

C-FLATHmmph. It must be dangerous withsuch GARBAGE out in the evenings.Ive never seen so manyplebeians,such deviants.

FINNE

Hey, man. I only understood abouthalf, or maybe a third of what yousaid- but no one talks trash on mygarbage. Those are my people youretalking about! Theyre not all bad,look-

Finne pulls back the curtain to examine the audience.

EXT. AMPHITHEATER - NIGHT

Snorlock and another giant slug make out with each other. Itis wet and sloppy and utterly repulsive.

FINNE (O.S.)Uhh...

The Naked Wizard runs up and down an isle. The shopping cartof Tomato people is now crowd-surfing.

The Ice-King sits happily with Hot Dog Princess.

FINNE (CONTD)

Aww, see.

Hot Dog Princess tries to escape, but is shackled by her feetto the Ice-King.

ICE-KINGTsk, tsk, here you go sweetie. Sitdown.

The Ice-King yanks back the chain. The captive Princess sits.Finne closes the curtain.

INT. AMPHITHEATER BACKSTAGE - NIGHT

Finne turns back to C-Flat

FINNEWhatever, Dude. They may not beperfect but this is our kingdom.Jake, make a note to save Hot DogPrincess.

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUM(hurried)

Finne! Jake! You gotta get on

stage, now!

JAKENuh-uh maam. This pups gotstagefright.

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUMFinne. You promised you would helpme. You should always keep apromise with someone who hasmagical powers. Like me.

FINNEBut you dont have-

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUMMagic push!

Princess Bubblegum forcefully shoves Finne and Jake onto thestage.

C-Flat walks towards the backstage exit. Finne and Jake roarpast him, carried by a group of adoring fans. They areholding a humongous trophy. Finne looks back.

C-FLAT(building in anger)

...Its Sir Andrew C-Flat. Ivealready TOLD YOU THAT!

EXT. AMPHITHEATER BACK PARKING LOT

C-Flat kicks the back door open. He is kicking up dirt andangrily swinging his little arms.

C-FLAT(screaming at the heavens)

I swore off magic ten years past.But this final spell I will cast.Every single thing with a mind,will be doomed to speak in onlyrhyme!In due time, theyll unwind- andworship me as divine!Soon Ill own this land of sorrow.Goodbye Ooo- it starts tomorrow!

A ray of musical notes and bright colors flow out of C-flat,

draping over the Land of Ooo. C-flat floats away in his 87Oldsmobile. He leaves behind a trail of music notes on ascale.

C-FLAT (CONTD)Muhahahah!

ENGINE TROUBLE cause the car to stall, mid-flight. Musicnotes drip to the floor.

C-FLAT (CONTD)Oh, come on you piece of junk. Move

your butt- I mean, trunk!The car kicks back into gear and C-flat drives away over Ooo.

Finne yawns as he wakes up in his bed. Then, almostinstantly, he shoots up to his feet.

FINNE

(rhyming)Another day! Another adventure! Tieyour hat and brush your dentures!No more sleep, had eight hours!A good nights sleep is my superpower!

JAKE(from drawer)

I hear Finne's up- no use sleeping.Gotta stretch big cause my bonesare creaking.(getting into yoga poses)

Downward me, sideways cat (meow)Upwards lion, shape like Finne'shat (oww!)

FINNEHowdy, Finne!

JAKEHey there, Jakey!

FINNEReady to rock?

JAKEEh. Yeah.. Maybe-JUST KIDDING I'm totally psychedI can't wait to fight the night andwrong some rights.Ride in tomorrow with a bow andarrow!Suck bone marrow out of evilsparrows!

Finne is nodding his head yes very hard. He stops mid-nod.He looks eerily.

FINNEWait a minute dude, somethingsfishy.Not quite right, a little bit iffy.

FINNEI knew it man! We're under a spell!It's hard to resist but it's hardto tell.... Ergh.. shell fell well

JAKE(slaps Finne)

Alright- maybe its just temporary.Lets go outside and breathesome... airy.

EXT. LAND OF OOO HILLS AND LANDSCAPE

Jake and Finne run across hills and forest. Smiles keep

creeping over their faces. Every creature, animal, orintimate object is singing. We see LADY RAINICORN

LADY RAINICORN(English subtitles)

This is truly the greatest of days.I love the world in numerous ways.There goes our land's greatestheroes. The flag of our nationchicken sandwich. (Translationerror.)

Jake and Finnes ears perk up as they hear YELLING in thedistance. We see that Princess Bubblegums castle is not far.

FINNEYou hear that Jake? Sounds liketrouble!Suck in air and float like abubble!

JAKE(British Accent)

Aye Aye, Capn- on the double!

Jake sucks in a whole bunch of air into his belly and turnshim into a balloon. Finne grabs onto his jowls.

The two approach Candy Castle. The yelling turns morerhythmic. The whole Candy Castle is singing in unison. Finneand Jake land in the center courtyard. All the air goes outof Jakes butt. The singing comes to a hault.

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUMFinne- Just the man I've beenseeking!How are you doing on this lovelyevening?Well, it's actually morning, butthat's a little boring-

don't you think so my darling?

JAKE(blush)

Howdy Princess, we came to yourdefences.Yet, instead it seems that there'sno evil incentives.So madam, shall I take your hand?or get up there an rock the micstand?

PRINCESS BUBBLEGUM

Get up there Finne! Cut the rug!Show this castle what you're madeof!

Finne gets up on the mic. The lights dim and he puts on apouty R&B singer face.

FINNE(auto-tuned)

It's like... my mouth is a ceiling.And my bodies filled up with goodfeelings.

Which I churn into words,then turn into sentences.That float out like birds,cool.. but sensitive.

A Candy woman faints.

FINNE (CONTD)I have no reason to battle, noreason to fight.

The crowd of Candy people roar. They all sing and prancearound merrily. Jake hops up on stage next to Finne, who isstill basking in the moment.

JAKEHey there buddy! That wasbeautiful.But don't you still think it'sstrange we're stuck in a musical?I donno dude, I'm not sure aboutthis.These people don't seem right- itneeds to be fixed.

Finne turns to Jake. His face is a manically happy.

FINNEWhat are you crazy?! Why would weresist?Maybe YOURE the one that needs tobe fixed!

JAKE(hurt)

Ouch dude. You DON'T say that to adog.

I'll leave you be until you seethrough this fog.

FINNEWhat fog?

(looks around)Oh, you're speaking metaphorically.Well, I'mma keep rockin eventhough your not supportin' me.

Jake stretches up to the roof. He looks down at Finne.

JAKEFine, Finne! I guess this isgoodbye then!

EXT. SKY / ASTRAL-PLANE FORTRESS

Sir Andrew C-Flat looks down on Ooo from an floatingfortress. He is smiling and chuckling.

C-FLATYes... YES! The allegiance is

breaking!Cruel and callous in their indecision making!Soon their brains will startaching,As the deed is done for theirforsaking!

WHOLE NOTE (O.S.)(gruff womans voice)

Andrew! Dinner is ready, comesiddown, sweetheart.

C-FLAT(shivers)

Sorry, my dear Whole Note. Let mejust go put away my coat.

C-Flat makes his way over to the dinner table. WHOLE-NOTE issetting the table. She essentially looks like a giant O.She is much bigger than C-Flat.

Now you wouldnt happen to bepracticing magicwould you? Youknow what our deal if you practicemagic...

C-FLATOf course not- I would never maam!What are we having- braised goat orlamb?

WHOLE NOTEWere having lamb. And if youwerent CURSED to rhyme all day youwould know that we dont even eatgoat. No one does.

C-FLAT

INT. TREEHOUSE - MORNING

Finne wakes up the next morning in his bed. Unlike yesterday,he is in a terrible state. He rubs his head and blinks hiseyes painfully. Hes speaking slow and raspy.

FINNEJake... I have a headache.One eye won't open and I can'tthink straight.

Jake is hanging off the top of the dresser. He topples off

and lands on his gut.

JAKEShhh quiet! My ears are ringing.I cant take all this pointlesssinging!Its like Im not even in controlof my owh mouth.Ugh I think Im gonna... I thinkIm gonna... ralph!

Jake runs to a trash can. Even his vomit comes out in a rhymescheme. Blah Blah-Blah Blah.

FINNEYesterday was like a total blur. Ithink I got a ride home from thePrincessess chauffeur.

JAKEMe and Beemo sang all night.Wheres that little guy? Beemo- youalright?

Beemo pops up in a pile of dirty laundry, rhyme-beeps, then

powers down. Finne and Jake slump onto the floor next to eachother. Finne puts his arm around Jake.

Finne stands up and paces.

FINNEWait a minute, that singing Bthingy!It looked kinda ticked after itlost to me!

JAKEHey now, he lost to US.Now lets go find him and make him

EXT. LAND OF OOO HILLS AND LANDSCAPE - CLOUDY DAY

We cut to a montage of Finne and Jake putting up posters witha sketch of C-Flat on it. They question various people,pointing to the drawing on the poster. Most shake their heads

no. Jake finds Rainicorn in the woods.LADY RAINICORN

(English subtitles)No more singing, please make itend. Bumblebee nostril cheesecake.(Translation Error).

Jake kisses her forehead softly as she closes her eyes.

JAKEWere running out of time, this isthe end!Theyre messing with our minds, andhurt my girlfriend!

Out of exhaustion, Jake cries and puts his ear to the ground.He hears rhythmic dripping.

JAKE (CONTD)(whisper)

Finne, hurry and put your ear tothe ground. Let me know if you hearthat sound!

FINNEYes, I do. It sounds... drippy.Keep youre ear to the ground andcome with me.

The two scoot with their ears on the ground following thedrip sound. They bump into the back of the Amphitheater andsee a C-Flats musical scale leading up the sky. One of thenotes is dripping smaller notes to the floor.

JAKEHow suspicious? A trail of magicalemissions...

FINNEWhich will lead us to the evilmusician!

The two cautiously step onto the scale. The musical notesbehind them slowly come to life, and attack. They fight back,defeating quarter notes, whole notes, clefs, etc. The notesexplode in a laser sound that corresponds to their locationor purpose. The two heroes grow weary as they climb higher.

EXT. SKY / ASTRAL PLANE FORTRESS

Finne and Jake feebly knock on the door to C-Flats skyfortress. C-flat opens the door and jumps backwards. They

basically crawl into his house. C-flat regains confidenceafter seeing how weak they are.

FINNEC-flat... Turn off the spell orthis wont end well. Ill kick yourbutt... or back... I cant tell.

C-FLATAh, look. The mighty knights havefell. Lost all valor under mylyrical spell.

JAKE

Dude, relax! It was just a talentshow.Plus, people love karate... AGH-yo.

C-FLATBut true talent lies in words!Sentences, Adjectives, nouns,verbs!

FINNEYeah, but karate is a verb put intomotion! Without action, then

nothing is spoken!

C-FLAT(flustered)

I... you.... Blah, blah, blah, Mynames Finne. I dont care- thespell stays, I win.

WHOLE NOTE (O.S.)C-Flat, who are you talking to?

C-FLATNo one at all my precious. Ill be

in there a minute, just a second.

Whole Note walks into the room.

WHOLE NOTEWhat the- C-Flat what did you do tothese two?

JAKE(face-down in the floor)

Hel-p.... Spelld....

WHOLE NOTEAndrew C-flat?! Are you practicingmagic again? 10 years of marriage Igive you and all I ask is no magic!

C-FLATSweetie, its not what it seems!Ive never even seen any of thesebeings!

Whole Note takes a second. She assess the situation, thenvery seriously turns to C-Flat.

WHOLE NOTEIm sorry, Im gonna say it.

C-FLATPlease, dont! Please, you wont!

WHOLE NOTEWe signed a contract. You broke it.

C-FLATDont you dare! I wont go backthere!

WHOLE NOTEOrange.

C-flat goes insane- screaming, running, banging his head. Hebegins to disintegrate and gets sucked out of the room. Finneand Jake are on their last breathes.

WHOLE NOTE (CONTD)You boys all right?

FINNENo... time... no... rhyme.

WHOLE NOTEOh, that. Just end every sentencewith orange. The spell will wear

off in a week or so.

FINNEReally? Orange. Oh, wow it works!Orange. I feel my head clearing upalready. Orange. Try it Jake!Orange.

JAKEMic check, one, two. Orange. Hey,it works! Orange. Thanks lady!Orange.

Finne runs over to the window that overlooks PrincessBubblegums castle and the land of Ooo.

FINNE(shouting)

Hey, Everybody! Orange. End everysentence with orange and well befine! Orange.

EXT. LAND OF OOO HILLS AND LANDSCAPE

We see various characters regaining consciousness. Orangeis heard over and over. People resume with their dailyactivities.

EXT. SKY / ASTRAL PLANE

Finne and Jake are walking down the magical music-scale-road.

JAKEI wonder what happened to that C-flat dude? Orange.

FINNEYeah, it seemed like he just gotdoomed for eternity or something.Orange.

We slowly PAN OUT and see all of the Land of Ooo. We pullinto the Ice Kings castle. We zoom all the way up to the C-Flat key on his dusty piano.

INT. ICE KINGS LAIR

The Ice Kings finger comes into the shot and pushes the key.

ICE-KINGHey, Hot Dog Princess- my C-Flatkey works again! Orange! Time to

Jam! Orange!

We see Hot Dog Princess escape out of the window. The Ice-King begins to sing. It is absolutely horrible.

CUT TO BLACK.
