This document details the functional integrations available between the current version of Adobe Campaign andAdobe Marketing Cloud as well as its solutions.

The different integrations presented below allow you to combine the delivery functionalities and advanced campaignmanagement functionalities of Adobe Campaign with a set of solutions created to help you personalize your users'experience.

Depending on your environment, several solutions can be linked to Adobe Marketing Cloud. They are linked asTenants (also called Origanizations). Tenant management and linking Adobe Marketing Cloud accounts are detailedin the Adobe Marketing Cloud help portal.

Warning:

Most integrations require to log in via an Adobe ID (IMS). IMS implementation is strictly reserved to the Adobetechnical administrators. The IMS implementation is a complex process which can take some time.

Integration between the core service Triggersand Adobe Campaign allows you to send per-sonalized emails to your customers as a reac-tion to specific behaviors that are tracked onyour website by Adobe Analytics. For moreinformation, refer to the following technote.

Adobe Marketing Cloud TenantN/AMarketing Cloud Triggers

Warning:

When newly installing Adobe Campaign or integrating an existing installation with an Adobe Marketing Cloudapplication, the Marketing Cloud visitor ID service is enabled. This service replaces the permanent cookie used firstand foremost by Adobe Campaign for its tracking functionalities.

A unique visitor ID will then be assigned to recipients generating tracking logs. This ID will be saved in the RequesterUUID (@sourceID) field of the nms:trackingLogRcp table. The tracking data of recipients who existed before thevisitor ID service was implemented will therefore no longer be usable.

The ID will then be recognized by the other Adobe Marketing Cloud applications with the same CNAME.

Integration between Adobe Campaign 6.1 and Adobe Experience Manager allows you to manage the content ofyour email deliveries as well as your forms directly in Adobe Experience Manager.

You can also directly insert assets from your AEM Assets library while editing an email or a landing page in AdobeCampaign. This functionality is detailed in the Assets chapter.

This means that you can make the most of both AEM's content editing functionalities as well as Adobe Campaign'sdelivery capacities.

Adobe Campaign is compatible with Adobe Experience Manager 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3. The following sections present anoverview of the integration.

For more details, refer to the documentation provided for your version of Adobe Experience Manager:

Introduction

Note:

Using this integration requires having IMS implemented. Consult the section about IMS.

Adobe Campaign allows you to exchange and share audiences/segments with the different Adobe Marketing Cloudapplications. Integrating Adobe Campaign with People core service (also known as Profiles & Audiences coreservice) or Adobe Audience Manager allows you to:

n Import shared audiences/segments from different Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions into Adobe Campaign.Audiences can be imported via lists in Adobe Campaign.

n Export lists in the form of Adobe Marketing Cloud shared audiences. These audiences can be used in the differentAdobe Marketing Cloud solutions that you use. Audiences can be exported after targeting in a workflow, usinga dedicated Update shared audience activity.

Warning:

Depending on the data exchanged, importing audiences in Adobe Campaign may be subject to legal restrictions

The integration supports two types of Adobe Marketing Cloud IDs:

n Visitor ID: this type of identifier reconciliates Adobe Marketing Cloud visitors with Adobe Campaign recipients.

n Declared ID: this type of identifer reconciliates all types of data with elements from the Adobe Campaign database. It is represented in Adobe Campaign as a predefined reconciliation key.

Note:

To be able to proceed further, make sure that IMS is enabled on your system. Consult the section about IMS.

Once IMS is enabled, you can request provisionning of the People core service/Audience Manager integration withCampaign. To do that, write an email to [email protected] with the following information:

Configure AAM/People core service-Campaign IntegrationRequest Type:

Your organization nameOrganization Name:

Your IMS Org ID*IMS Org ID

Example: ProductionEnvironment:

Example: Adobe Audience ManagerAAM or People Service

Example: Declared IDDeclared ID or Visitor ID

Any useful information or comment that you may haveAdditional Information

* You can find your IMS Org ID on the Marketing Cloud, in the Administration menu. It is also provided when youfirst connect to the Adobe Marketing Cloud.

Once you have submitted this request, Adobe will proceed to the provisioning of the integration for you and contactyou to provide details and information that you have to finalize the configuration:

1 Make sure the Campaign Tracking Server is registered on the domain (CNAME). You can find more informationabout domain name delegation in this technote.

2 Configure the Visitor ID Service on your web properties/sites by following this document.

TroubleshootingIn case of error, make sure that the following elements are correctly configured:

n External accounts

In Administration > Application settings > External accounts, make sure that the following external SFTPaccounts are correctly configured. The mentioned SFTP servers should have been configured in Adobe MarketingCloud by your consultant.

n importSharedAudience: SFTP account dedicated to importing audiences.

n exportSharedAudience: SFTP account dedicated to exporting audiences.

n AMC Data source

In Administration > Application settings > AMC Data sources, check that the AMC Data source is set properly.

It can occur that some data are missing when sharing an audience via People core service or when importing anaudience. Only records of which the ID ('Visitor ID' or 'Declared ID') was able to be reconciled with the profiledimension are transferred. IDs from the People core service segments that are not recognized by Adobe Campaignare not imported.

Importing/Exporting audiences

Importing an audienceYou can import audiences/segments from People core service into Adobe Campaign via the recipient lists.

1 Go to the Profiles and Targets > Lists node in the Adobe Campaign explorer.

12

Page 14: Adobe Campaign v6.1 - Integrations Connect Adobe Experience Manager to Adobe Campaign by configuring a dedicated Cloud Service. ... Integrations | 9 Adobe Experience Manager. 10. Table

2 In the action bar, select New > Create a shared audience....

3 In the window that opens, click Select a shared audience to go to the list of shared audiences/segments availablefrom the other Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions.

4 Select an audience and confirm. The audience's information is automatically completed.

5 Select the AMC Data source from the AMC Data source field to define the type of data expected.

6 Save the audience.

The audience is imported via a technical workflow. The imported list contains elements that can be reconciled usingthe AMC Data source. The elements that are not recognized by Adobe Campaign are not imported. It may take upto 24 hours to synchronize. After this period, you will be able to find and use your new audience in Adobe Campaign.

The audience data is completely replaced every time it is synchronized.

Note:

Only segments can be imported. Granular data including key-value pairs, traits and rules are not supported.

Exporting an audienceYou can export an audience from Adobe Campaign to People core service using a workflow. The processes forcreating and using a workflow are detailed in the Workflows guide. The exported audiences are saved as segmentsin People core service:

1 Create a new targeting workflow.

2 Using the different activities available, target a set of recipients.

3 After the targeting, drag and drop an Update shared audience activity, then open it.

4 Define the audience that you want to export via the Select a shared audience option. In the window that opens, you can select an existing audience or create a new audience.

If you select an existing audience, only the new records will be added to the audience.

To export your recipient list in a new audience, complete the Segment name field then click Create beforeselecting the newly created audience.

Finish the operation by clicking the check symbol at the top right of the window, then the OK button.

5 Select the AMC Data source to specify the expected data type. The schema is automatically determined.

6 Save the audience.

The audience is then exported. The save audience activity has two outbound transitions. The main transition containsthe recipients that were successfully exported. The additional transition contains the recipients that could not havebeen mapped with a visitor ID or declared ID.

Synchronization between Adobe Campaign and People core service can take several hours. After this period, youshould be able to find your new audience in People core service and reuse it in other Adobe Marketing Cloudsolutions.

In order to be reconciled, the records must have an Adobe Marketing Cloud identifier ('visitor ID' or 'declared ID').The records that do not have an Adobe Marketing Cloud identifier are ignored when exporting and importingaudiences.

Introduction

Integration between Adobe Campaign and Adobe Target (Classic and Standard) within Adobe Marketing Cloudallows you to include an offer from Adobe Target in an Adobe Campaign email delivery.

The operating principle is as follows: when a recipient opens an email sent via Adobe Campaign, a call to AdobeTarget allows you to display a dynamic version of the content. This dynamic version is computed depending on therules specified beforehand when creating the email.

Note:

The integration only supports static images. The rest of the content cannot be personalized.

Several types of data can be utilized by Adobe Target:

n Data from the Adobe Campaign datamart

n Segments linked to the visitor ID in Adobe Target, if the data used is not subject to legal limitations

n Adobe Target data: user agent, IP address, geolocalization data

Note:

You can also find information regarding integration between Adobe Campaign and Adobe Target on the AdobeTarget Portal.

Configuration

This section details the necessary configuration steps in Adobe Campaign to use the integration functionalities withAdobe Target.

PrerequisitesIn order to use the integration between Adobe Campaign and Adobe Target, you must have:

n Adobe Marketing Cloud and Adobe Target tenants

n An Adobe Target rawbox specified to establish the connection with Adobe Campaign

Configuring Adobe CampaignTo configure Adobe Campaign:

1 Install the Integration with the Adobe Marketing Cloud standard package. Installing an integration package isthe same as installing a standard package, which is detailed in the Package Import section. This gives you accessto the shared assets via Digital Asset Manager.

2 Enable connection via IMS (Adobe ID connection service) to use images shared via Adobe Marketing Cloud inyour emails. Consult the section about IMS.

3 In Administration > Platform > Options, configure the server and Tenant options for Adobe Target:

n TNT_EdgeServer: Adobe Target server used for the integration. This option is already selected by default. This value corresponds to the Adobe Target Domain Server, followed by the value /m2. For example:tt.omtrdc.net/m2.

n TNT_TenantName: Adobe Target Tenant name. This value corresponds to the name of the Adobe TargetClient.

Inserting a dynamic image

This section details the steps to carry out in Adobe Campaign to integrate an image from Adobe Target into an email.

You must carry out the following actions in Adobe Target beforehand:

n Create one or several redirection offers, in which you must specify the URL of the image you will be using.

n Create one or several audiences, to define the target of your activity.

n Create an Form-based experience composer activity, in which you must select a rawbox and specify severalexperiences, depending on the number of redirection offers created. For each experience, you must select oneof the redirection offers created.

To specify these experiences, you can create segments using information from Adobe Campaign. To use datafrom Adobe Campaign in the offer's selection rules, you must specify the data in the rawbox in Adobe Target.

To insert an Adobe Target image in an Adobe Campaign delivery:

1 Create an email delivery

16

Page 18: Adobe Campaign v6.1 - Integrations Connect Adobe Experience Manager to Adobe Campaign by configuring a dedicated Cloud Service. ... Integrations | 9 Adobe Experience Manager. 10. Table

2 In the available personalization fields, select Include > Dynamic image served by Adobe Target.

3 In the window that opens, select the image that will appear by default in the email. You can specify the imageURL or use a shared image.

4 Enter the name of the rawbox specified in Adobe Target.

5 In Additional decision parameters, specify the mapping between the fields defined in the Adobe Target segmentsand the Adobe Campaign fields. The Adobe Campaign fields used must have been specified in the rawbox.

Defining a parameter in Adobe Target is carried out via the rawbox created when integrating the Target imagein Adobe Campaign and the Refinements option.

The example shown here demonstrates how to define different experiences for men and women.

Introduction

When editing an email delivery or a landing page, you can insert images from your Adobe Marketing Cloud (Assetscore service or Assets On Demand) or Adobe Experience Manager libraries, depending on the solutions you have.

The different available libraries are detailed in the Marketing Cloud and Core Services documentation.

Consult the Configuration [page 19] section to find out more about the specifics linked to each library.

Configuration

This section details the necessary configuration steps in Adobe Campaign to use the integration functionalities withAssets core service or AEM Assets.

Warning:

These integrations are concurrent. Read the following information carefully before making any configuration.

n Integrating with Marketing Cloud Assets: this integration allows you to insert images from your Adobe MarketingCloud library (Assets core service or Assets on Demand, depending on how your Marketing Cloud environmentis configured and your licenses). It is available via installing the Integration with the Adobe Marketing Cloudpackage in Adobe Campaign.

n Integration with AEM Assets: this integration allows you to insert images from your Adobe Experience Managerassets library. This is available by installing the AEM Integration package in Adobe Campaign.

n If the two packages (AEM Integration and Integration with the Adobe Marketing Cloud) are installed, only theassets available in the Adobe Marketing Cloud library can be used. To also access the assets in your AEM Assetslibrary, you must synchronize AEM Assets and Adobe Marketing Cloud. The assets in AEM Assets will then alsobe available in the Adobe Marketing Cloud library. For more information on synchronizing AEM Assets andAdobe Marketing Cloud, refer to the detailed documentation.

CHAPTER 5

Assets core service

Page 21: Adobe Campaign v6.1 - Integrations Connect Adobe Experience Manager to Adobe Campaign by configuring a dedicated Cloud Service. ... Integrations | 9 Adobe Experience Manager. 10. Table

Note:

If you have Adobe Campaign On-Premise, integration with Assets core service and with AEM Assets is not availableunless AEM Assets is also On-Premise.

Integrating Marketing Cloud Assets with Adobe CampaignIn order to use the integration between Adobe Campaign and Marketing Cloud Assets (Assets core service or AssetsOn Demand, depending on how your Marketing Cloud environment is configured and your licenses), you must have:

n An Adobe Marketing Cloud tenant

n IMS IDs (provided when you first connect to the Adobe Marketing Cloud).

You just have to enable the connection between Adobe Campaign and Adobe Marketing Cloud. To do this, configurethe connection via IMS (Adobe ID connection service). This configuration is detailed in the Connecting via an AdobeID section. It involves:

n Installing the Integration with the Adobe Marketing Cloud package.

n Configuring an Adobe Marketing Cloud external account.

Note:

The functionalities linked to this integration are only available for users connected with their Adobe ID via IMS.

Integrating AEM Assets with Adobe CampaignTo integrate AEM Assets with Adobe Campaign, you must first configure the integration between Adobe ExperienceManager and Adobe Campaign. Refer to the detailed documentation. This configuration mainly involves:

n Installing the AEM Integration package.

n Configuring an external account that is specific to AEM.

Then configure a new delivery template in Adobe Campaign. In the Properties of this template, go to the Advancedtab. The Content editing mode must be configured to DCE. Then specify the external AEM account that you wouldlike to use to access your AEM Assets library.

By inserting images into a delivery's content, the Select a shared asset option will then allow you to browse imagesin the AEM Assets library.

20

Page 22: Adobe Campaign v6.1 - Integrations Connect Adobe Experience Manager to Adobe Campaign by configuring a dedicated Cloud Service. ... Integrations | 9 Adobe Experience Manager. 10. Table

Note:

If the Integration with the Adobe Marketing Cloud package is also installed on your Adobe Campaign instance, you will only be able to use the assets available in the Adobe Marketing Cloud library. To also access the assets inyour AEM Assets library, you must synchronize AEM Assets and Adobe Marketing Cloud. The assets in AEM Assetswill then also be available in the Adobe Marketing Cloud library. In this case, you do not need to create a specificdelivery template. For more information on synchronizing between AEM Assets and Adobe Marketing Cloud, referto the detailed documentation.

Inserting a shared asset

Assets shared from Adobe Marketing Cloud can be used in your emails and landing pages as follows:

1 Create a new email.

If you use assets from AEM Assets, use a delivery template created when configuring the integration.

If you do not have this specific template, make sure that in the delivery Properties, the Content editing mode(Advanced tab) is set to DCE and that the AEM external account that you want to use for accessing your AEMAssets resource library is provided.

2 In the editing window, select the option to add an image:

n If you are using the standard editing mode, select Image > Select a shared asset.

For more information on the standard editing mode, refer to the Delivery guide.

n If you are using the advanced editing mode (DCE), go to an image block, then via the contextual menu, select Select a shared asset.

Note:

You cannot insert shared images from Adobe Campaign Web view if you are using the DCE.

For more information on the advanced editing mode, refer to the Digital Content Editor section.

Introduction

Thanks to the integration with the IMS (Adobe Identity Management System), users can connect to the AdobeCampaign console using their Adobe ID. This integration provides the following advantages:

n The same ID can be used for all Marketing Cloud solutions.

n The connection is memorized when using Adobe Campaign with different integrations.

n Securer password management policy.

n Use of Federated ID accounts (external ID provider).

Note:

For more information on the different types of Adobe IDs, please consult:https://helpx.adobe.com/en/enterprise/help/identity.html

Warning:

The IMS implementation is strictly reserved to the Adobe technical administrators. The IMS implementation is acomplex process which can take some time.

Note:

Make sure that your users are linked to the Adobe Marketing Cloud groups that will be synced with Adobe Campaign.Refer to Configuring the external account [page 24].

Updating the consoleTo use this functionality, it is imperative that you install the latest version of the console.

Installing the packageYou must install the Integration with the Adobe Marketing Cloud package. Installing an integration package is thesame as installing a standard package, which is detailed in the Importing a package section.
